Final Cut Pro X Basics Part 5: Adding Titles

How do you change the duration of each title? When i shorten it, it cuts off the end of the animated text, I want to shorten the duration overall (like you can do in iMovie)

Is there a way to add plain basic text? I can o it in previous versions of FCP, but with 10 I can only seem to edit a title to appear as plain text.

@EPS5000 i can't find basic text as well. but to stop the animation, just turn of the builds

hi, how do you position your text anywhere you want on the screen? can't seem to figure it out....

@Johnnyphamous Select your title in the timeline, and under the Viewer window, you'll find the Transform Effect tool (its just before the crop tool) , select the Transform Effect Tool and now you're able to move the text around in the Viewer.
