@Gambocontorto I agree, but Rossi is going to be in for surprise when he sees just how un-rideable the Desmo is. That bike was made for Stoner's riding style and the full carbon frame has shown little to no success for anyone else, but him. Hopefully Rossi's input can aid in the 2011 bike being mutually beneficial to both himself and Hayden.

Nicky is a great rider. Him, roger lee, and tommy are all pretty good on mx bikes too. I have rode a lot with tommy at Nebo, KY on dirt bikes. They are good guys and are good at what they do. Not for sure who is the best, but I bet if their dad was still racing he would be. "Earls Race Team 69"

Nicki should either go back to the AMA, or go to World SBK like Vermeulen, & Toseland. Atleast he would be more competitive and win some races. As long as there are the top 4 guys racing ( Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa, Lorenzo) he will never be able to win races definitely not championships. He's not getting any younger. He might want to think of riding for Ducati for SBK. It suits his riding style, the atmosphere is less stressful, and it's a little more laid back which sits him.

I like Nicky but please dont forget about Honda's history with its riders! They only support one rider and the rest (Honda riders)are expected to get second and on.Nicky won the championship with little help from Honda until the end of the season. He was brought in to back up Rossi! When Rossi left Honda went with Biaggi while bringing in Pedrosa as there golden child while getting the rules changed to benefit Pedrosa. Nicky will do great with the kind of support Ducati can give him.

Don't get me wrong, you yanks had great riders. Lawson, Schwantz, Kenny Rogers Sr, but i don't think Nicky will be your poster boy. He'll be another Kenny Rogers JR. Can't agree with you there. Stoner has had 3 years in moto gp, an average rookie season, champ, 2nd (with a broken wrist for the 2nd half of the season). And hes like 22 or something so he has (avoiding injury) 7 or 8 years minimum left. Give him time.
Also, you clearly haven't watched many races over the past 2 years have you? The Ducati is quick but has bad handling hence why Melandri was usually at the back last year (with the other 2 dukes) The Yam was the best overall bike last year, easily

Absolutely Rossi is just amazing, I love the guy too, but I just can't stand people that are so blind/fanatical and one sided and can't give credit and respect when it's due Nicky won that title in 06 by riding his but off. What happened is Honda changed the bike on him. They now have a bike designed around Pedrosa who is a few inches shorter and about 30 pounds lighter. Hayden will do well on the duc. He has a very similar build to Casey. But what does Hayden think of Ducati possibly switching to Michelin next year? We'll see.

Heyden was the champ who should never have been. Rossi had his hands full with the yam that year and thanks to Tony Elias Rossi lost the world championship by 5 points. Rossi had the most race wins as well. Heyden will never win an other championship again no matter what he's sat on. Well maybe unless its a dirt bike.
Honda didnt believe/support him in any way Nicky was basically a factory test rider for Honda in 06 a lot of parts on his bike were supposed for the 07 bike designed specially for Pedrobot remember the clucth/frame problems How about Rossis pass under a yellow flag in Phillip Island & the FIM looking the other way or when Pedrosa took him down in Estoril the win at Laguna & Assen I guess the bike rode itself Who crashed in Valencia. I think the Ducati will compliment Nicky's riding style. Unfortunately if he goes good on it he still will not get the respect he deserves. when you've got 2 one off machines, that cost 1 mil plus, and 2 very different riders, your gonna have 2 very different bikes. honda gave the better bike to danny on a whim, thinkin he'd have a better season than nicky. so nicky was stuck with the second bike. it was really hard to get the tuning right and it showed on the track. look at casey and his team mate. casey is champ, and his team mate is far behind. gotta make a decision. its a lot of money to win.

At the begining of this year I didnt have a good opinion about Nicky but now,after seeing some videos on the motogp channel and especially after seeing what atitude he took and the end of the season,when even though he knew he was leaving Honda he worked even harder.He s a very cool guy and I hope he does well.I also wanna see Dovi kick Dani s ass next year.

Nicky was taken out by Pedrosa the race before, Rossi just lost the front end. So he and Rossi were equal and Nicky won the championship! :)

Absolutely Rossi is just amazing, I love the guy too, but I just can't stand people that are so blind/fanatical and one sided and can't give credit and respect when it's due Nicky won that title in 06 by riding his but off. I'm tired of the excuses he won because Rossi's bike sucked, and so on. I'm not claiming that Nicky is the best. I've also defended Casey just as much when people try to discredit his greatest achivement in racing. Like these idiots would have a clue how to win a world title.

What happened is Honda changed the bike on him. They now have a bike designed around Pedrosa who is a few inches shorter and about 30 pounds lighter. Hayden will do well on the duc. He has a very similar build to Casey. But what does Hayden think of Ducati possibly switching to Michelin next year? We'll see.

not quite changed the bike. not at all, however they completely took all development away from him and admittingly put Pedrosa the No.1 rider. totally agree that Hayden will do well on Duc, shakey bike + a lifetime of dirttrack racing will suit ideally, and as for tyres, well everyone will be on the Bridgestone now...butthats another debate, lol.

It would have been sour grapes if anyone said Hayden didn't deserve it, but at the end of the day Rossi hade the most wins an the race in assen should have been Edwards only for Hayden's desperate riding. 3 3rd's in his defending year 2007 is hardly the work of a CHAMP? Even if Honda gave him a gold wing he should have done better than that.

Heyden was the champ who should never have been. Rossi had his hands full with the yam that year and thanks to Tony Elias Rossi lost the world championship by 5 points. Rossi had the most race wins as well. Heyden will never win an other championship again no matter what he's sat on. Well maybe unless its a dirt bike.

Honda didnt believe/support him in any way Nicky was basically a factory test rider for Honda in 06 a lot of parts on his bike were supposed for the 07 bike designed specially for Pedrobot remember the clucth/frame problems How about Rossis pass under a yellow flag in Phillip Island & the FIM looking the other way or when Pedrosa took him down in Estoril the win at Laguna & Assen I guess the bike rode itself Who crashed in Valencia. when you've got 2 one off machines, that cost 1 mil plus, and 2 very different riders, your gonna have 2 very different bikes. honda gave the better bike to danny on a whim, thinkin he'd have a better season than nicky. so nicky was stuck with the second bike. it was really hard to get the tuning right and it showed on the track. look at casey and his team mate. casey is champ, and his team mate is far behind. gotta make a decision. its a lot of money to win.

Nicky Hayden best bits.... no wonder it only had pictures. if there was any video footage you would be able to see how much quicker everyone else was. I love it when everyone criticizes the bike, i mean Pedrosa seems to be doing well which just highlights Haydens inability to adapt his riding style unlike everyone else. Its a shame for Hayden that the only championship that he will ever win was due to Rossi's mechanical problems, not because he was the best rider.

Nicky Hayden dominated AMA races. Hayden's Mommy and Daddy were at practically EVERY race! With out mommy and daddy in the paddocks Hayden does poor.
