I'm a huge IQ fan, as well, and a drummer. I have attempted to play this song a few times and I agree it is fun, but it's definitely not easy. You made a valiant attempt and if you keep at it, you'll be playing it note for note with Andy one of these days. Maybe I will too, before I'm too old.

Hai perfettamente ragione. Pensa che io ho una coverband dei Marillion ormai da 10 anni. Non riusciamo a trovare gente maniaca come noi. Utilizziamo il Cubase come gli stessi Marillion per ottenere dei risultati incredibili, ma questo mette paura alla gente. Il dover suonare esercitarsi provare due volte a settimana spaventa....e gli altri intanto vanno a fare i concerti nei locali con un livello qualitativo imabarazzante. ma questa sembra essere la musica oggi.
Complimenti comunque ! Si è vero che come ti hanno scritto ancora sei un pò "acerbo" come batterista, ma complimenti soltanto per il tipo di musica scelta per lavorare con il tuo strumento. Non è da tutti essere appassionato di un gruppo come gli IQ. Io vivo a Roma suono la batteria e sono 20 anni che sto cercando inutilmente di tirare su una coverband degli IQ. Complimenti ancora, la strada è quella giusta !!!
@wstrappo io vivo a Milano e sono anni che cerco chiunque voglia fare progressive inutilmente...suono batteria basso e tastiere, e trovare in giro musicisti con la passione per questo genere è impossibile
@hogweed89 Dimmi nulla...a parte che abito in una zona depressa per quanto riguarda la musica (provincia di Alessandria) ma sto cercando un tastierista in gamba che abbia voglia di suonare in un tributo alla PFM...zero assoluto...che pianto...
You're getting better. But. Please don't take this as criticism. You're not using enough wrists and fingers in you're playing. You play very stiff, when you move around the kit, you see it in your shoulders and your fore arms are moving up & down, and they should'nt be. Practice this exercise, in triplets, no feet first on snare (get it down at a fairly quick tempo) then around kit. RLL- LRR- RLL- LRR accent the 1 of each triplet. Repeat, When you have it, you will be more wrists and fingers.
I live in Holland, im 15 years old and i like IQ very very much. Man respect for this. And Cr8 im a guitarist 2. Only smart people like this and are interested. I can play the begin and thats enough:P
Damn it!!! As a guitarist who's frustrated, with not being able to find anybody who can play IQ (or anyone interested for that matter), i wish u lived in the U.S.
