I enjoyed all the shrek movies though and each Shrek picture made over 300 million dollars. It appears as long as the movie can make money, there can be as much sequels as the director or creator wants. The chipmunks are a part of my childhood so I'm going to continue to support the films. The first two films made over 300 million dollars so I'm hoping the third movie would be as successful.
