  • This just made me laugh. Terrific concept.

  • Stupendo grazie per averlo messo!!!

  • Love! Love! Love! <3<3<3 Thanks for posting this!

  • actually, OMG, Buster Keaton *swoon* :)

  • Omg Rudolph Valentino *swoon* .

  • This is so cool!

  • Che effetti speciali che c'erano prima. Altro che computer graphic!

  • I've never seen this clip of Rudolph Valentino - you just made my day.

  • Pure awesome.

  • *sigh* oh Buster....:D

  • Keaton & Lloyd in the same film...a rare gem. Of course they were real life pals to the end of their lives.....

  • awesome, and such a cool device 'watch' the artist make the change, these people truly were artists, nobody like them now.

  • HOW DID HE DO THAT?? I dont see the the editing or the film jumping at all~it's so seemless! Harold looked so spiffy & good! :}

  • FANTASTICO!

  • I'm totally in love with Harold Lloyd!!!!

  • Absolutely Amazing. Many thanks for the post.

  • Wonderful video ,

    Wonderful artists .

  • David McLeod, writing for the Keaton Chronicle of the Damfinos (a Keaton fan club), looks at all the evidence the costumes worn by Keaton, Coogan, Fairbanks; the fact that neither Valentino nor Coogan were stars before 1921 -- and reasons that this film must have been shot between the spring of 1922 and early 1923.

  • @cityofchappaquiddick According to the Wikipedia biography of Fatty Arbuckle, this film was made in 1925.

  • Had to be before 1926 if Valentino was indeed actually in it - because that is the year he died.

  • The actual stars were in this video - watch how the scene is cut before each one emerges. This video I believe was filmed at the home of Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks (Pickfair) sometime in the late 1920's. All the actors you see are the real McCoy. It's a great concept though...

  • Pero ¿cómo demonios hace el cambio de estatura de Jackie Coogan? Vale, sí, coloca una escalera, pero es que cuando baja, el escritorio está más alto. A no ser que haya un corte en la película, no consigo entenderlo.

  • nobody can grin like Fairbanks

  • Splendid, simply splendid. Harold, Rudy, and Jackie Coogan were the best. This is where it all started

  • la tecnologia de los 20's jaja muy chido eh.... wow!! pero falto chaplin :(

  • Damn! This guy's good!

  • I love these old silent films. They actually have substance and taste, unlike most of the crap the Hollywood is churning out these days.

  • @themanfromwyoming

Hollywood churned out it's share of crap back then too. It's classics like this that survive.

  • I love this short! It's on the Valentino Rarities collection - I love seeing all of these actors together in the same film!

  • What is "Valentino Rarities" and do you know where I can buy it? Thanks for any info.

  • That's some good make-up! ;)

  • Nice work. keep it up. mean time come for social media marketing for esteembpo**com h

  • lol.. I love it.

  • aw this totally cheered me up =] first of all i was like 'hey this guy *really* looks like Buster!' then i got it lol Harold Lloyd's dance is ace!

  • so great! thanks for uploading

  • According to the IMDb, it was made in 1925 for a party given by Pickford and Fairbanks.

  • It's a shame Chaplin was too much of a shit-heal to play along!

  • You mean he was invited to do it and he turned it down? Why didn't he want to do it?

  • Chuck would never inter-mingle with other comedians!

  • jesus christ what a gem

so this would be about '21 right? because it's when buster was famous on his own but before roscoe had his accident, and probably right after jackie coogan did The Kid.

  • It would have been later - Harold Lloyd is doing the little jig from "The Freshman", and that film was released in 1925.

  • Did you know thats where MC Hammer got his dance? From Harorld Lloyd. Mammer time!!! LOL

  • OH I love the one with Harold Lloyd. HE is so cute, the way he does his little jig.

  • That's the same "little jig"he does in The Freshman. He's so adorable,I just love him like crazy!

    Mary-

  • Wow! This is marvelous! Great editing to and from the real stars. Oh how love Buster Keaton!

  • Cool! Those impressions look identical with the 'real ones'

Amazing how he changes into another so fast, brilliant :)

  • Carter DeHaven would be my great grandfather if he were alive today.!!

  • Is Gloria your grandmother then? She's really a nice person--I met her through friends of hers here in Coral Gables.

  • Brilliant! All those movie legends crammed into a black box! :) What a treasure. Thanks for posting!

  • that was awsome!

  • Brilliant, thank you for putting it up :) x

  • Great video clip and I've given you five stars. I've created a video clip featuring Douglas Fairbanks and many other 1920's movie stars.

  • Loved it!! I will put it in my favorites! Thanks so much for sharing!!

  • What a great switcheroo!!

  • This is great, thanks! Very amusing that he would be Jackie Coogan at the end. :-p I had never seen anything with Harold Lloyd and my favorite, Buster Keaton, together. :)

  • It must be a promotion since all the actors appear as as themselves. You can see the edits when the duck behind the suitcase. The actors than do a little adjustment to themselves and stand in front so we can see them. If you watch carefull you can see the flicker of the cut. Amazing. Getting these great actors together to perform this act.

  • This is amazing! Thanks for posting it!

  • That is a magnific retrospective of the the stars from the cinema's beginning. That was a pleasure to see this movie.

    Thank you.

  • WHat a fun video.

  • It's pretty apparent that these are the actual stars and not just some guy dressing up like them. What's the story? Anybody know?

  • The cut always occurs when he puts on the wig. He puts it on, then ducks down; the next person you see is the real star. Love the way Fairbanks jumps over the table!

  • wow I love it!

  • love rudy!

  • OMG!!!! That guy is amazing!!! He looked just like them!!!!

  • You should see him made up as Luke the Dog.

  • LOL! biting Buster's butt...

  • I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please check out my clip of silent movie star tobacco cards. They include: Harold Lloyd, Charlie Chaplin, Rudolph Valentino, Mary Pickford, Lillian Gish, Tom Mix, Jackie Coogan and many more.

  • This short can be found (with excellent commentary) on the Laughsmith DVD "Industrial Strength Keaton", along with a lot of other great rarities, and I hope this clip encourages you to buy it. I persuaded two friends to pick up copies just to get this short. Regardless, though, I hope as many fans and potential new fans as possible get to see this great piece of film history while it's here.

  • Simply amazing! However did you do this!? I'm so happy you put Harold Lloyd in here! He is my fave! And very cute charming clip you have of him!

  • what a great video!

  • wow I love when people find these rare old clips

  • You can say that again! Wow! Awesome video! Thanks!
