I had a huge lollipop as a kid that was colored just like these graphics and it has so many flavors in it. very cool. I had another recently and it was just plain suggary, a bit gross and wasn't swirled all the way through, coated colors! times change and cheaper quality eh...

Aww would you people stop debating the whole "this is/this is not punk". As I've grown older I've realized that most diehard hippies and punks are all a bunch of morons. Everything from hipster jazz artists, to rockabillies, to hippies, to punks, to hip hoppers were about freedom and rebellion. It's nothing new folks. Just listen and enjoy. Or don't. And that's that.
Yeah the Attack could definitely rock out intensely & sound good doing it, especially on this song; but i'm not going to knock late 70's/early 80's punk bands like The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Buzzcocks & Black Flag whom i enjoy as well and who were influenced by mid 60's mod/freakbeat bands like this, American garage bands of around the same time period & also proto-punk bands like the Stooges and the NY Dolls.
I don`t really know, why everyone says punks and mods are related. They are the fucking opposite of each other. Maybe the punks evolved from the mods, but the neo-nazis evolved from the punks as well, and are they the same? not at all! And The Attack`s songs are not punk at all, but way better ...
the psychadelic touch is undeniable and incredible!
We Are The Mods, We Are The Mods, We Are We Are We Are The Mods!
i was riding in the sky. ... f'in classic line that merely explains the whole song in itself.

It is a hell of a drug...If you choose to call it that. It's actually really beautiful; but everyone is entitled to their opinion? Right on!

If LSD is an acronym for 'lsyergic acid diethylamide' instead of 'LAD', then it must indeed be one Hell of Drug.
Yakovlievich 1 year ago 8
@Yakovlievich its because The short form LSD comes from its early code name LSD-25, which is an abbreviation for the German "Lysergsäure-diethylamid"
itsthemoj 1 year ago 3
@itsthemoj My point is reinforced. Why not then just "LD" if it's short for "Lysergsäure-diethylamid"?
Yakovlievich 1 year ago
@Yakovlievich Lyserg and säure is not one long word, it's two words. Therefore both L and S, come on.. wasn't that obvious enough!?

This unreleased 1968 song by the Attack could almost be punk rock except for the psychedelic imagery inherent in the lyrics

I agree. This is hard rocking, but it doesn't sound punk to me, at least not 70s punk. The guitars have that psych drone to them that's oh-so-60s.

There is a difference between the 60s music style and punk rock.
Khultan 2 years ago
actually Mods and Punks shouldnt like each other, they are like the opposite of each other ... Punks are nowadays rockers ;)
FynnDynamite 2 years ago
@FynnDynamite I will say, once more, there is a difference between 60s rock music and punk rock. I prefer the former and the latter is garbage.
