hey im very interested in getting final fantasy 13 and i also want to get a few others but i want to know if u think i should pick up a few of the earlier versions of final fantasy so i wont be lost in the story or do you think i can pick up and play it without having to play the past ones and not be lost. and also, for those of you that own a ps3, do they sell any of the final fantasy games online?

Don't worry about being lost. Most Final Fantasies have no real storyline connections to one another and only a few give one another passing reference. The most closely connected ones would be any that take place in the country (continent? World?) of Ivalice and this is not one of them.

they sell final fantasy 7 and 8 on the PSN for download, but like Jwrfb26 said, the stories aren't connected so you won't miss out on anything if you haven't played the other ones

its for both 360 and ps3, however "ffxi versus" is for ps3 exclusively. Which is well in my opinion better then this one xD, i'm still getting both, and buying a ps3 for it lol.

The vocal theme that begins about half-way through the trailer sounds like an upbeat version of Final Fantasy IV's Theme of Love... which is a very good thing.

Also, great trailer, really looking forward to the battle system and the storyline, just sad that Nobuo Uematsu isn't composing anything in it. : (
