Would you know my name If I saw you in heaven? Would you feel the same If I saw you in heaven? I must be strong and carry on 'Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven Would you hold my hand If I saw you in heaven? Would you help me stand If I saw you in heaven? I'll find my way through night and day 'Cause I know I just can't stay here in heaven
I really do admire the 5 morons who voted dislike. It's best if you 40 something and still living in granmas basement, remain single and never have kids. How can anyone possibly dislike this? Specially for what it meant and who it was for. Dislike me telling you UP YOURS!!!
@chymist66 I know. I can't imagine loosing either of my kids - 5 and 2 - let alone signing a song that came from it. It's beautiful, but I am barely holding it together now as I listen. I just took up guitar and this is one of the first songs I'm trying to learn. Probably one of the best songs ever written.
I lost my best friend 12/3/2011. Although he was a big boxer dog and not a human, he was like a son to me, and feel the pain Eric felt now as when he lost his son. I am sorry there is death. My dog lived a long life. He was 89 in human years. Please let him be in heaven with Conner Clapton, God. He would love Connor too.
I love this song, it has given me much comfort. I lost my son Zane Grayson Sellers, at age 6 to all t-cell Leukemia. This song I had played at his funeral. And it gives me comfort still. God Bless Eric Clapton, I know what it feels like, and nothing on earth compares. Thank you for writing this, and sharing it with the world. Im so sorry about Coner, he was so precious. I only hope I have the pleasure to see you in concert one day. There nothing like a live performance. R.I.P Coner, and Zane.
if you never get to know me my beautiful preciouse son manolo my love your momma loved u more than anything in the world im falling apart without you DIONNE PASTEN
Thanks...for posting my laser disc buddy, RemixedVideoDJ! ...Ok...Now we have many more formats for this kind of material...and I want you to continue to provide the best that we can see...NO JOKE. Please do so and subscribe to my youtube account and I would love to subscribe back to see your work...You are what I need to see for alot of material...
Knowing the story behind this song make it incredibly sad..
For those who don't know, Claptons 4 year old son fell from a 53rd floor apartment window onto a 4 story building in NYC. 49 stories. Having a son the same age makes it almost unbearable to listen to this song but it is a wonderful tune,
rest in peace Connor.

Time can bring you down, time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart, have you begging please, begging please
Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure
And I know there'll be no more tears in heaven
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you feel the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven
