Did you have to buy the header and y pipe for a R1 or just modified one for your F3?

@phantomwriter08 The header is a yoshi cbr 600 f3  I got from ebay. The mid pipe is custom made and the R1 pipes did not have to modifed or bent.

Hey man I have looked everywhere and I cannot find a bike that sounds anything like yours! I would like to duplicate this setup on my 06cbr 600. Could you tell me the year make and model of the parts you used for this setup?

@phantomwriter08 I used the dual pipes from a 05 R1 with race baffels. Problems with the cbr 600 pipe is that there are no race baffel pipes available. Most likely you will have to find a set of pipes with the option to install race baffels.

I very carefully cut portions of the F3 away so the R1 fairing could just slide into the F3 fairing. Then I secured it with screws, glue, and fiberglass. Add my body fillers, sanded it down, did the glazing, and then sent it to the paint shop to match my bike.

First I started out with rebuilding the subframe and hanging the pipes. Then I joined the F3 and R1 fairings together.

The gauges are from a F4I alot of people hook them up to the F3. Keep tinkering and use you imagination you will never know what you can come up with.

Oh, you can get the vfr800 rim which is a 5.5 inch vs your 5 inch rim your running now. All you have to do is grind the mounting surface abit. that is how I did my first custom. the 98+ rims line PERFECTLY after you do the mod to the rim.
