  • To je samo za mojga fanta! **

  • Every girl's dream (not including feminazis).

  • Wow. I never knew so many people were such experts in music. Let alone have the ability to judge the worthiness of love ballads and the artists who wrote them. Cheer up, People of Doom and Gloom. It's a simple love song that has merit all its own. And a great love song at that. (My personal opinion inserted here. Nothing more.)

  • This song makes me miss my grandma, good stuff guys, thanks

  • At least Babe and The First Time had some rockin' electric guitar in it. Tommy Shaw has indeed encroached into Barry Manilow territory with "Yes I Can". I'm not criticizing the song- I like it, but I think Tommy was wrong for putting down Dennis's ballads when they were so great. Babe even gave the band their only #1, which means millions of people loved it! I'm surprised he would make such a mushy video and song after uttering those words about Babe.

  • For once Tommy has a romantic song of his own.

  • For those who didn't pay attention to what Shaw said about DeYoung's ballads... he said he didn't want to band known for just ballads like Babe, or First Time. He never said he didn't want to do any of those type songs. DeYoung and the record labels were pushing the light stuff so much that the harder rock songs were being ignored. But I would like to ask Tommy if he can say the word 'irony' sometime...

  • Great harmonies , this cries for an acapella arrangement

  • amazing song!

  • This a nice video but where is James Young?

  • @veronica16841 is playing guitar. in the beggining you can see all five members of Styx. James is the one with the moustache.

  • What the hell is this crap?. Tommy Shaw says that The song Dennis deyoungs "First time" was in barry manilow territory. This is worst. Lots of Flowers, just missing some little birdies. Tommy Shaw should get together with Minnie Riperton and sing "Lovin You".

  • thanks SO much for posting this! I love this song ;o)

  • Styx will survive, as long as JY and Tommy remain.

  • I love this song but I have to admit the video is not their best

  • they are like an old buy band. a man band

  • For me, Styx will never be as great as they were when Dennis DeYoung sang with. However, this song is one I like.

  • I LIKE the video. Things don't have to be ugly to be cool - nothing wrong with beautiful gardens! This song is exceptional - I never was a Styx fan, but am finally impressed!

  • Yeah JY!

  • It appears that they produced this video on a very low budget...

  • however, nothing against the song which is great.

  • Absolutely LOVE the song (not crazy about the video tho) - awesome, Beatlesque harmonies; sure wish I could hear it in concert sometime (hint, hint guys... Thursday would be soon enough for me LOL!!)

  • unfortunately, glen isn't with the band any more, so no chance in hearing it live. thank god for video! ;) (i agree it's a bit weak, but at least they did a vid for it)

  • Yeah, I know - bummer! I love Glen - fantastic musician and a really nice guy too! Saw him with Dennis a couple of months ago in NYC; awesome show!

  • @stmonkeys What the hell? Who is with them now?

  • My husband loves this song....he doesn't like much of the newer Styx music (I disagree lol), but he loves this song

  • Tommy Shaw wrote this for his wife ,

    I think it's cute =]

  • Glen Burtnik! Love that man!

  • Love the song. Love the video. I think it's gotta really cool 60s vibe.

  • I hate the vid BUT I LOVE DA SONG WITH ALL MY HEART

    (u)

  • Look, I realize the best of times with Styx was with Dennis as part of the group, but that song was not as good as this one is, let's be realistic. Don't Let It End is not exactly the high water mark of Styx.

  • I know what you mean about founding members and understand. However, being a musician, I can't help but think your comment is just sour grapes. This IS great music, Dennis had his chance to continue with the band and selfishly screwed it up. He's not a member anymore. Get over it. He has.

  • ok first of all this is styx it has just outreached from the original (denis deyoung was diagnosed with something that prevented him from playing so they hired gowan to take his place and john p died so they had to hire the new drummer chuck p retired so they got the new bassist so this is styx just wit new members

  • My husband and I had our first dance at our wedding to this song. It always makes my cry when I hear it.

  • i agree with another viewer. its a great song but for the year the video is terrible. it looks as if its a home made vid for a contest or it was a low budget vid. +5 tho

  • This is classic Tommy Shaw. This is to closer to stuff like mademoiselle or sing for the day.

  • Not bad but what happened to Tommy and JY wanting to ROCK? It seems odd with all the complaining about balleds they've done over the years. Most of the new stuff they are doing seems to be ballads and soft rock except for a few of the covers and classic songs in concert.

  • old styx is awesome and new styx is awesome

  • it's awesome, but i just can't get over not having dennis there. he was truly "the voice of styx". but this was still super cool. dennis, tommy, and jy really need to get back together.

  • CUE JENIE! O wait no Jenie? (silently says yes) haha..

  • Good song... but this video is just god awful for 2003.

  • Extra good/Extra good

  • This song is beautiful I remember this song being played alot at night at my house when 9/11 happen.Tommy is amazing.

Hey does anyone know what happen to Glen?

    He like vanished?

Next thing I know Rickys in the band?

  • glen left the band in 03 to pursue other interests. he released a solo album, WELCOME TO HOLLYWOOD on atenzia records, (which is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- check ebay) is a member of the band LIVERPOOL which performs at all of the beatlefests, and has performed a number of solo shows etc, in addition to his anual Xmas Xtravaganzas. if he comes to your area and you have an opportunity to see him, GO!!!! you WILL NOT be disappointed, trust me! :D

    glen rulz

  • Great song! Even with the beard I reconizd Tommy Shaw. This was a wonderful song so true to the way he played the more laid back songs

  • Harmonies are incredible, love the song and video

  • I miss Dennis. Not a bad tune, but the video lacks something.

  • The song isn't bad. Yet I want the old Styx back.

  • this is a good song... but it really is a horrible music video hahaha

  • Thank you Jenie for the video! I bet she made it (Tommys wife) shes in alot of computer junk haha

  • what are you talking about? tommy's wife is jeanne. what do you mean by "she's in a lot of computer junk?" she's a hairstylist.

  • I watched a show and she says she does alot of photograph and digatle stuff lol =]

I see we meet again stmonkeys member me?

    haha

    -Kayla

  • you cant blame dennis for quitting after all he is allergic to light

  • too bad dennis was a quitter

  • Tommy and the new STYX should look back at the 70's and take back what they said about Dennis's ballads. Without Dennis STYX sucks. The sound is gone. Wish they could see that before they make bigger fools of themselves. Long live the pre 2000 STYX.

  • Styx is just taking a bit of time to mold into a new kind of sound. Think about it. Was Dennis' molding into the "Styx sound" of the mid 70's-early 80's a perfect process? The early stuff needed some time to get really good. Just be patient.

  • they sound a lot better without dennis, even though with dennis they sounded good.

  • I dunno, this is one of my favourite styx songs, but i really really dislike mr. roboto hahaha.

  • Oh come on guys, even Tommy has to do a ballad sometimes. :P

  • How can this be mushy compared to Babe? The lyrical content is pretty much the same; that's what one would define "mushy" by.

PS: Babe isn't mushy. Neither is this.

  • Such a beautiful song. Its one of my favorites. Thanks for posting it.

  • written by shaw and jack blades actually - makes me cry this song at times, and I'm not a soppy guy. Glen's song was 'kiss your ass goodbye' which is cool but a bit formulaic. But this album is definitely one of Styx' best

  • this would be glens song wich is why its like this

  • Do you always want the same old same old? I think not it would get boring. And there is no hard feelings between the guys and Dennis. Besids Lawrence Gowan makes a perfect if not better replacement. The band is much happier.

  • oh... trust me. you dont want to go there with Froy. ;)

  • They bitch at Dennis for not rockin and they put out this church music,

    Another dud

  • complain to Damn Yankees. this was supposed to be on the infamous 3rd album. ;)

  • wait a sec damn yankees had 2 albums?

  • Yes. DY put out their eponymous first album in '90, and Don't Tread in 92.

  • Comment removed

  • they didnt kick dennis he claimed he had a kind of alergic reaction to stage lights and wanted to quit but they wanted to move on atleast thats what jy said in a interview i heard on the radio...anyways is the guy playing with tommy glenn?

  • if u pause it at 00:57 from left to right glen, jy, todd, larry, tommy

  • at 1:43 Tommy on left, glenn of right

  • wow... i didnt know they had a video for this... cool!

  • they probably made it the 4 of them

  • ...trippy. Beautiful song though.
