@cancanwench written for the movie, you're right there are no lyrics in Ballet, aside from the music this takes very little from the Ballet version and is closer to the original story by ETA Hoffmann (the Ballet was based on an adaptation of Hoffman's story by Alexandre Dumas, and was changed even from that).

@pinksoccerprincess7 the song is actual Tchaikovsky's 'Waltz of the Flowers' it doesn't actual have any lyrics originally. it's the same thing Disney did with Sleeping Beauty by adding lyrics to the 'Sleeping Beauty Waltz' (now dubbed 'Once Upon A Dream') to "make classical music fun!"

All things considered, the Nutcracker adjusted pretty well to his status as a doll. Most other guys would've tried pinching themselves, insisting there was a mistake, jumping off the shelf into a fireplace, screaming, crying, or just curling into the fetal position and doing that funny thing with this lip. But all it takes is "I've shrunk!", a few seconds' glance into a mirror, and he accepts his role a a talking doll.

"I... I... I... I've shrunk!" LOL. I love that he's not even paying attention to what's being said to him. I also kind of love that this story isn't about a prince briefly appearing to save a woman from a life of poverty, loneliness, or a deep sleep. In this story, she has to save *him* from a spell, and *he* wakes from a deep sleep (essentially).

Anyway. Anyone else agree that the Nutcracker is so much hotter as the Nutcracker than as Hans? It's like they didn't even try hard with Hans...
