This is a hodgpodge of both, plus a standalone session for the drumtrack, plus the orchestra session overdubs (orchestra was in version two, but it was recorded a second time), and various diolougue (sic) such as the Cranberry Sauce line... forever misheard as I Buried Paul. Not my fave Beatles song, but a work of wonder nonetheless. In all, I think 6 months work. I'll have to re-check that.

without trying to push the balance to one side, because i´m a very old beatle´s fan i must admit something that no one have mentioned yet: the first time is true that john says: "I´m buried Paul" the second one is "cranberry sauce", listen carefully and separately. you can check it if you are able to listen the mix in take 26 (w/no fade). If it was true about Paul´s dead i don´t mind, anyway John joked with it the whole time. In the end john keep doing it many times, and in the end he did it ;)
