This is basically telling all of you people what a threat this monster is. You can't take it lightly, otherwise you'll be finished.

Every monster has a weakness though, and the Devil Jho's is the fact that it is always hungry. Use that knowledge to your advantage. (If you don't get it, try using paralyzing meat, etc.)

Not bad for someone who has never fought a jho before, keeping it simple and to the point. However, some things could have been added, such as "bring dung bombs to get rid of barioth/get jho off of you..."

For beginners, trying to dodge jho's attacks is suicide, so yes, the gaurd +2 is essential. If you are able to teach some more advanced armor sets/lancing techniques in another vid, I'd be impressed.

it is possible to cut deviljhos tail with a switchaxe, but only if you use vertical axe swings. ive done it and tested, its not easy, so just stun him, its easier...

some tips i would like to mention if they wernt mentioned int he video...

trapping a deviljho when he is hungry will extend his stunned time, and a flashbomb is best against jho when he is hungry

deviljho is weak to lightning and dragon equally, whatever is easier for you to get is at your discrection

the face can be destroyed 2 times, no matter which state it is in, and you need to do both to get fangs.

the stomach is weaker when it is in rage, when every other part is stronger

well;in my opinion this is a nice tutorial;i have my own tutorial;i use the dragon and armor seeds(armor seeds for his fcking saliva)max. potion,potion,herbs,mega potions,ancient potions,herbal medicine,armor skin,teleporter,dung bombs.i eat healt +50 and dragon res.(i use ala armor and gs with dragon element);u can use the armor u want. just take care with jho's body slam,dragon breath,headbutt(like blos) and stomp

@thegrim450 In regrads to your lance. It's the Alatreon lance,straight from the Blacksmith.

I costs 3 Brkn Skypiercers,4 Alatreon Tails and 3 ElderDragon Blood and 77,777z.

If you want to upgrade it,it's 3 Conquerors Seals,5 more Tails and 1 Azure Dragongem and costs 100,000z.

It 's pretty hard to get all that.

If you want my personal opinion. Don't use a lance unless you are very good with it. I used the Alatreon Switch Axe,with a good team I did it in 20min,and even with a bad team,30min.

First time I was hunting Deviljho I didn't have Dung Bombs but saved a teammate from his jaws by cutting the tail with a lance just in time. It was so epic and rewarding. :)

Best set for lancer? Full Agna+ with Evasion gems +3 in sockets and a Charm that would give some evasion. What we get? Good defense, Guard +2, Evasion +2 Razor Sharp and Flaming Aura. Great Defense, great evasion. If we wont evade a hit, we can easily defend it. You like?

I use the agna (low rank upgraded) if you have an evade +7 gem with 2 slots your golden. other wise you get : Guard +2, Guard up, Flamin aura and Evade +1 which is nice too. That is if you don't have the evade talisman.

Best Armor for lance would be Full Agnaktor+ with Evade +2 and Guard+2 you will be INVINSIBLE!! Well, I rarely get hit by Jho when I use that set. Also, the Razor Sharp REALLY HELPS. Both Dragon and Thunder are equally good against him, but Ala Lance is THE BEST LANCE to use against Jho.

@22imbored Yes, well-done steak+dash extract makes mega dash juice. Countering is done by holding the Wii-mote upward and pressing/holding A (with Wiimote+nunchuk), or by pressing R+a with the Wii Classic controller. Your character should hold his lance to the side until you release or he blocks an attack. The hold is the "charging up" of an attack. Hope I helped!

@CrushingHammer the alatreon lance would be good, cause it has dragon, and has a nice raw and sharpness. If your pro with evasion you can have evasion on your armor, but i recommend full agnaktor+ for ya. certainly dont use a hammer or a gs or longsword, its horrible with those. lance, bowgun, Switch-axe or sns is ok against him. The easiest way is just a lance with guard+2 and counter every attack. Plain simple

@CrushingHammer thunder and dragon work well agaisnt jho. as for weapons, any fit well (except maybe sns). also, just a tip on where you should attack. when its enraged, damaged to EVERYWHERE but its stomach is reduced. at its stomach damage is increased, so aim for there with weapons when its pissed. also, try to have decent dragon res. its dragon breath can and usually will kill you without fully leveld up armor like rathalos plus or the dragon bone set.

The jho armor is ok. It looks cool. If you like football. It works on artisan, ice res, and eating. With a negative sharpness effect. Personally I found him easy to kill. Just a lot of guarding. I use agnaktor u armor with guard up and gaurd+2 with gun chariot.

no dude, u cant just dodge and have invulneability, u have to have evasion+1 or 2, and ts not invulnerable straight after the role, its when your in mid air is when u are invulnerable, not a dive but when u role, for about a sec no body part is touching the ground. and wtf is the chick doin with an ice wep, jho likes ice.....

I've been fighting deviljho frro a long time now, I've tried all of the weapons and various armor sets, and I have to say that I think the best set would be full diablos armor, barioth legs and waist Hermes for evasion+2. This way you can dodge the screams and every attack, and his stomp won't affect you. I also use the black harvest

@FiestaProducer I do not know about sidestepping but i'd assume so but still look it up I don't lance but I do know that evade +1 slightly increases invulnerability time on dodging while evade +2 adds a much more noticeable window of invulnerability.

The lance's side step is indeed helped by Evasion+. Basically, when doing any dodge, at the start of the animation the first two frames (the game is run at 30 frames per second, making it equivalent to 1/15 of a second) the hunter is invincible. Evasion+1 lets the hunter be invincible for 8 more frames, and Evasion+2 adds an additional 2, making going to E+2 not really worth it.

Note: the exact figures may be wrong. I've read conflicting reports, these seem to be the consensus.
