@Yuffie3982 Well if you want to be technical, the climate is always changing. Al Gore mentioned in this video that the hottest year ever recorded was in 2006. If you actually look back at the records, 1934 was the hottest record, which completely contradicts his whole theory. All I am saying is that their are facts that contradict what Al Gore is promoting, and he refuses to acknowledge them.
@Yuffie3982 Climate Change is just another word that the IPCC came up with after Global Warming was disproved. Global Warming was mainly based off of the "hockey stick" graph, which basically made the assumption that the earth stayed roughly about the same temperature up until the 20th century, and then suddenly shot way up (looking like a hockey stick). This new term "climate change" is just a way for the IPCC to cover their butts so that they don't look like complete idiots.
@Yuffie3982 its funny that you read science journals yet dont know that the current warming trend is nothing significant, temp has risen nearly 1 degree (0.7 roughly) in the last 100 years, but there have been times in history where temp rose 1.5 degree's per decade so putting that in context 1 degree in a century is minuscule.
if you can believe in a god then why not believe that we have a huge impact on earth, we just grow and grow more people more demand, cause and effect the sighns are here look
@Yuffie3982 do you know what cap and trade is and how they want to tax us on carbon? Do you know that climate change is as inevitable as taxes yet they want to make us fearful of it and say it's our fault? CO2 is not poisonous and plants thrive on it - we are carbon based life forms that exhale it - get a grip - the weather is hit in Britain there is no summer - and the winter has been the coldest for 31 years - where's the fuckin global warming? Tax tax tax for morons
@Yuffie3982 However, these emissions are so dwarfed in comparison to emissions from natural sources we can do nothing about, that even the most costly efforts to limit human emissions would have a very small-- perhaps undetectable-- effect on global climate.
Climate change is linked to the sun - which is 99.8% of the mass of our solar system and warms us everyday - and without greenhouse gases we would freeze - the medieval warm period was - warmer- and the co2 was increased, as a RESULT
@Yuffie3982 Water vapor is 99.999% of natural origin. Other atmospheric greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and miscellaneous other gases (CFC's, etc.), are also mostly of natural origin (except for the latter, which is mostly anthropogenic).
Human activites contribute slightly to greenhouse gas concentrations through farming, manufacturing, power generation, and transportation.
@Yuffie3982 Water vapor constitutes Earth's most significant greenhouse gas, accounting for about 95% of Earth's greenhouse effect (5). Interestingly, many "facts and figures' regarding global warming completely ignore the powerful effects of water vapor in the greenhouse system, carelessly (perhaps, deliberately) overstating human impacts as much as 20-fold.
@Yuffie3982 Just how much of the "Greenhouse Effect" is caused by human activity?
It is about 0.28%, if water vapor is taken into account-- about 5.53%, if not.
This point is so crucial to the debate over global warming that how water vapor is or isn't factored into an analysis of Earth's greenhouse gases makes the difference between describing a significant human contribution to the greenhouse effect, or a negligible one.
@mooners40 Water vapor, the most significant greenhouse gas, comes from natural sources and is responsible for roughly 95% of the greenhouse effect (5). Among climatologists this is common knowledge but among special interests, certain governmental groups, and news reporters this fact is under-emphasized or just ignored altogether.
Conceding that it might be "a little misleading" to leave water vapor out, they nonetheless defend the practice by stating that it is "customary" to do so
i used to believe in manmade global warming as well, as teachers never allowed debates on the issue. And this was 15 or so years ago. I dread to think what propaganda is being forced into kids minds these days. CO2 is vital to this planet. An increase in the gas would actually be beneficial as agricultural yields would improve and the hungry/poor in the 3rd world would be better fed. Globalists like Gore actually want to reduce the world's population...they're very much in favour of genocide.
I agree completely. Actually most non-political scientist believe we're headed for another Ice Age. For most of Earth's history we've been much colder, once even completely covered by ice like Eruopa. If there is Global Warming it may actually help. Liberals want to end American sovereignty and have a One World government. They'll promote any treaty to do it.
We watched them spray clouds into the sky today while we were mountain climbing; kind of disturbing when you go out into nature to get away from things, but so was the trash that was littered all over the place so . . . If clouds and water vapor are the major proponents of trapping heat why are we creating clouds? Wouldn't that be very contradictory? Why not just tell the truth about the geoengineering adgenda?
A barrel floating in the ocean will grow a seaweed farm. It would be easy to create rainforest sized algae farms mid ocean. The seaweed farms would photosynthesize, as well as the lifeforms themselves would be made of carbon.
Cheap. Proactive. Harmless.
Also mid ocean seaweed (algae) farms could be towed to countries in need for emergency food, fuel.
No downside.
Build seaweed farms from shore and tow them out to sea and anchor them. Polluting companies could sponsor the low costs.
CO2 traps heat & temps go up. But soon enough the oceans will be warm enough to stop absorbing CO2 and will eventually release large quantities of dissolved CO2.
Then deniers will say, see warming causes increased CO2.
Duhh???
Another feedback: If temps. rise 3.5C-5.2C as MIT predicts we could be facing a massive uncontrolled methane release from arctic permafrost and lakes. That's game over.
9 of the last 10 years were the HOTTEST ever recorded. Only 1998 was hotter than 2000 or any year since.

also funny how on these vids its not a wanking contest of thumbs up and down like it is where the. pseudoscientists get all their troll accts out to silence people. It's nice to not be --5 thumbs in 10 minutes TBH, refreshing
Yeah, the Antarctic has shrunk it's size by 30% in just the last years because the polar bears were farting to much, and penguins with aerosol cans were depleting the ozone lair.
lmao! global warming is a hoax! who is gullible enough to believe climate change is created by man? wow! Stupid, gullible, al gore worshipping left winger, crazzies! The sky is falling! Duck! lol. Just kidding lefties. No reason to fear. it was all made up. scientists just hid the decline to continue their funding. Relax! no need to build refrigerated rooms to hide in. it's cold outside. it was all a joke on you.
Where did u get these #'s from?? 35% is private money? What? Talk about plucking ideas from thin air! Because you believe that GCC is BS then I obviously believe that the holocaust never happened. The problem with contemporary science is politicians get their slimy little fingers on data only to serve their purposes. And make money for corporations that are in their pockets. Like they have always done. The separation of science and state would be nice. Instead they are both compromised
Imagine the cost and effort of making this piece of shit.
What a waste.
These weird fascist fantasist conspiracy nuts would be better served donating the money to charity, after all, the only people who watch this are far-right loons who already believe that global warming is a hoax, the Holocaust never happened and we never landed on the moon.
The problem with contemporary society is that some people just have too much time on their hands and not enough productive things to do.
N. American "scientists" receive gov. handouts for "research". It's VERY safe to assume you don't bit the hand that feeds you. Scientists in Norway, Denmark & Sweden rely on PRIVATE funding, and don't spew the retoric of the gov.. Their facts on Global warming are just the opposite of the scientists who suck up gov. funds. They core sampled Glaciers in N. Greenland and found a huge deposit of carbon during the Victorian era... but not now. spew away J.A.
@asubjectiveopinion Let me just put a stereotype back on you. You're a very common youtuber I come across frequently, trapped in left right dialectics you do't really have a grasp of in the first place. Thats your problem, you think you know too much and / or place trust in others who you deem to know. you're also a pessemistic, ignorant and arrogant twat. I bet you didn't even watch it.
apparently so after calling me a female vessica. I have 1 vid by tsario about symbolism, did it take you an hour to think of that? Your favourites list is junk for the overwhelming mostpart, you failed lickle boy.
This isn't about global warming...It's about an upcoming global domination by the moneylenders of our world...the earth occilates every 50-70 years...I'm old enough to remember a VERY cold time when I was a kid...Check out fema concentration camps...You got about 800 of them in the USA , and more popping up.
Honestann your facts are getting in the way of Obamas agenda. Also dont forget that many of the temp #'s have been fudged anyway. Even as all of the greenies meet in Copenhagen the facts are simply ignored. They have an agenda to put all of us behind the eight ball. Tax our energy use and have the UN decide how much energy the average US citizen can use. All the while China and other countries use and pollute all they want. With no restrictions. Is not China a world power too? Why a SCAM!!!!!!!!
I'm a scientist, most of my friends are scientists, there is no 'controversy about climate change except in the minds of certain far-right broadcasters who associate "freedom" with the capacity to consume large quantities of hydro-carbons.
Although, I wouldn't want to play down the role that the oil industry (aka 'the US government') has in manufacturing this fake controversy to protect their profits.
Thanks fascist fantasists, you killed the human race.
How did a politician from Tennessee become a expert in any form of science?Or does he just parrot what is told to him from other so called experts? What did this guy major in in college? HE WON THE NOBLE PEACE PRIZE! WHAT A JOKE!
I could give a rat's ass what people think, what they are impressed by, or anything of the sort. I don't see myself as above anybody. You don't know anything about me, and yet you jump into other people's conversations and start talking shit like someone actually cares what you think. Anyways, whatever...
Great video. But I think most of the people who debate on youtube are 15 year-olds. The level of bias and civility certainly reflects that maturity level. It's a waste of time trying to have a rational discussion with such people.
The fact that GHG retain heat and act like a warm blanket is not a theory, it's a well known fact. How much temps will rise and what to do about it is debatable.
However, Temps have spiked 0.4C in 30 years with no increase in Solar radiation. 50% of the arctic and mountain glaciers have already disappeared. Plants, animals and insects are all migrating north.
In twenty years most Tibetan Plateau glaciers and Andean glaciers will be gone and major rivers will be going dry in the summer.
CO2 @388ppm is 35% higher than it's been in 650,000 years.
CO2 is going up 2ppm/year, TWICE as fast as 50 years ago. In less than 30 years CO2 will be 450ppm, which oceanographers claim will cause ocean acidification preventing many planktons and corals from growing.
Plankton and coral are at the base of the ocean's food chain. Duhh???

Not only experiential, but from a purely scientific point of view, we are walking, talking stardust - this cosmos become AWAKE, and looking back at itself.
The word "just" is kind of like the word "only". I was recently listening to an Alan Watts recording in which he discussed a conversation he had with Buckminster Fuller about space. "Space" as the emptiness which gives substance to form. Buckminster Fuller said that space is "just" negative event. "Just"... "Negative event" is a great way of putting it, but "just" is the kind of dismissal that is rooted in the belief that there can be up with no down. Is the game of yes and no "just" a game?
Hi lucid, found story #71 on the web. You're pointing in the right direction.
If you truly understand, then you have already experienced the most fundamental level of the kinds of experiences I mentioned. That would be close to the 3rd Oxherding picture.
So, when are you leaving for your 7 day silent retreat?
I'll answer my question without answering. It is just a game, and it isn't. It's like you asking me what I am. The moment I even think about answering that question is my doom. Thought is the beginning of the end.
The game you are playing is not the game that I am playing. Be aware that assuming things about this attainment or that attainment is pure folly. Who is it that words belong to? Show me a living word you have spoken and I'll introduce you to Nagarjuna's accountant.
You really are a good sport. I'm gonna go for a walk now. Tonight is one of those clear, dry, and cold nights, and the sensation of the crisp air is something which I thoroughly enjoy. Have a good one : )
The stars were magnificent, thank you. The night was completely cloudless, so there was no sensation of a dome or ceiling in respect to the sky. When the night sky is so clear it really hits home how we are floating in unimaginable space, seeing light from stars thousands of light years away, all of which is contained within the eternal now. The observer is the observed.
I remember when I was trekking through Nepal about 8 years ago, my friends and I set up camp in the northeast part of Nepal not very far from the Nepal/China border along the Himalayas. Everest base camp was in our line of sight, as we were about 3500 meters up in the hills above the cloud cover. No electricity for at least a 20km radius. I laid on my back and looked up at the sky, seeing the stars as I never saw before, and I wept at the magnitude of this moment. Floating in eternity!
The spirit of plants is parallel to the spirit of man, it is not something divided from the actual perception of what is. Indeed, the energy and awareness of such things is complementary to the awakening and awareness of the human being in respect to its environment and everything that it is and which " that" implies. I have been there, the only "thing" that divides you from everything else in that respect us fear of the other.
And fear is not simply "fear" in the sense of the unknown, fear in its most profound sense is the fear of the incredible brilliance that the human organism radiates. We are afraid of what we are, to really break all barriers and see what is is a state of being that is at the best uncomfortable, and at the worst a destroyer of the mind. And yet so necessary and critical to our growth and sentient beings.
Only that? I don't know about you, but in my experience I don't absorb life in such a manner. There is so much I could say about "that", yet to elaborate on such beautiful moments is to defeat its beauty by trying to define it. Simplicity is beauty. To know "that "and enjoy such beauty is enough for me. It is a continuous process, that experience never ends, it is simply the way I experience life.
To imply any difference between this "beauty" and that "beauty" is to imply the movement of time and space, which is thought. To look at a cloudless sky and feel that space, that space being the silence which we are really implying, is to see everything.
I'm not, in any way, trying to diminish what you've expressed. However, there truly is something more -- another step, which is very wonderful and profound. I promise you that.
I could try to tell you, but it wouldn't be yours.
I hope you keep looking and go deeper -- and keep yourself open and lucid.
Don't get me wrong, you know what you speak of, but you assume too much. Walk a few yards with me and we will see. Or not. Call it how you see it, it's not about my words or my cleverness, I claim nothing and yet I flow with the way as it is and has always been.
Never mind me, I sometimes put legs on a snake through unnecessary thought and effort. You may be right, we will see. If I find anything, I'll let you know ; )
Umm, I was taking the piss just to illustrate how ridiculous this all is, but ok, if you say so... It amuses me to no end to think about your mental imagery of yourself as someone who has something on me or has attained some kind of realization that eludes me. Sorry about what? Just keep on walking and be careful not to spill any tea from your cup. If you succeed, you will find Chocolate Buddha at the end of the rainbow giving away complementary Goldman Sachs yoga mats. Have a nice day : )
From a BRAND NEW independent study commissioned by AP:
"Of the 10 hottest years recorded by NOAA, eight have occurred since 2000, and after this year it will be nine because this year is on track to be the sixth-warmest on record."
The current El Nino is forecast to get stronger, which probably will push global temperatures even higher next year, scientists say. NASA climate scientist Gavin Schmidt predicts 2010 may break a record, so a cooling trend "will be never talked about again."
CO2 is 35% above normal and, if temps. rise 3.5C-5.2C as MIT predicts we could be facing a massive uncontrolled methane release from arctic permafrost and lakes. That's game over.

you are brain washed. now go get a chip inserted into you, a camera in your house and swin flu shot - oh and why not just link your CC to the government so they can start CO2 taxing you now. VA just proposed 8 cents per driven mile... you have no idea what Globalism means do you. Go read "Brave New World" again.. A science state. The blue print is there... you are cattle.
do you understand probability? With the amount of variables in our atmosphere, on earth and in the universe you'd think you'd see how hard it is or rather impossible to draw a line to global warming linked to CO2. 2.6% deniers (denier is a Hitler style propaganda tool btw)? google this: Scientific Smackdown: Skeptics Voted The Clear Winners Against Global Warming Believers in Heated NYC Debate
+ this is over CO2 linked GW. ok?

As far as NWO - who knows. I am a skeptic of everything.
I noticed you have a nice video on your favorites about atheists.. Not to straw man you but I believe it was Marx who showed the stupidity of atheists. To say for certain yes or no to "god" you first have to define it & therefore buy into the question - an impossible one to ask. I don't like the question, its loaded - just like GW
Sorry you can't see the parallel between your arguments against CO2 and the Tobacco lobbys'.
I never said I'm an atheist. God is Nature. Nature is god. Nature is the ground of our being. It's where we come from, and where we return. It's what we are NOW -- enjoy the dance!
But do you mean: Do i believe in an imaginary sugar daddy up in the sky who grants wishes and kills starving babies.
God = Nature huh? That makes you a New Ager? look into Aleister Crowley then Mr Nature. Defining God as Nature huh? Um, nature is nature. and so you understand I'm not religious. I don't think the question is valid. God is always defined by stipulation - just like your nature god.
and
I get your little parallel - I guess you can't apply the same logic to the government and GW science. They have lobbyist too. The Rothschild kid has a show on Planet Green... look into that family.
"a causal agent creating and controlling things in the universe" is one definition I found. Sometimes its synonymous with the word "environment." People often interchange the word "natural" as well. Nature is almost as stipulative as the word God - lol. Glad you asked that question. I had never seen the eerie paradox of the words - thanks.
But I will agree we need to seriously reduce our footprint. I do worry about the water supply, the food we eat, the trees & animals. But GW bc of CO2 - no.
Well, their definition of atheist and mine are far apart. I would consider that spiritual. Our conscious view of reality is skewed by our sense perceptions - some argue only consciousness and thought exist (which isn't dualism either which i find to be bs).
And neither am i a nihilist. Nothingness is a word that can only have true meaning in certain language or perceptual structures. Nothing doesn't have to truly exist. It is just a word. Nothingness is an impossibility in my opinion like GOD.

yes i've seen those videos - and? how do they prove a link between CO2. All of the evidence is refuted in this video.
I think the carbon tax has to do with an underlying fear of peak oil. What are we going to run to when we have no more cheap energy? 1:100 barrels is now 1:4
It doesn't justify the elite class's misuse of power to control this resource. Where are these green jobs? oh, they care so much!

Just another upward trend amongst the innumerable similar cycles in history. And there's no proof that CO2 is or could be the cause of this recent cycle. There's neither proof nor widespread scientific consensus that humans had anything whatsoever to do with it, or that they could possibly affect it for the better.
Net Solar Radiation has NOT INCREASED since 1975. There is excellent satellite data to prove it.
An 11 year solar cycle causes an average 0.2C oscillation. However, with NO NET increase in solar radiation since 1975, arctic ice and mountain glaciers have lost 50% of their total mass.

I've got NASA, NOAA, MIT, Harvard, IPCC, University of California, Science Magazine, Nature Magazine, Oxford, Cambridge, The Royal Society, etc., on my side.
Who you got?
SOLAR IRRADIANCE has had no NET increase for 34 years since 1975. We have excellent satellite data to prove it.
Yet, arctic ice and mountain glaciers have shrunk nearly 50% the last 34 years due to Global Warming.
Suppose as you say that Net Solar Radiation has NOT INCREASED since 1975. And that there IS excellent satellite data to prove it.
That still doesn't mean that CO2 is the only other possibility, and therefore, THE cause.
It merely means that we don't understand everything about the natural forces at work.
Especially considering that the overwhelming component of greenhouse gasses is water vapor. CO2 is a very small component. And man-made CO2 is a small component of that.
did you even watch this all the way through and research the evidence? This isn't about oil man, those boys are covered. this is about GLOBALISM and in a bad way. Nasa is a government corp. 13 of 14 hottest years in history? whose history, the bible? lol
Actually, breathing air does kill people. Most of the people die from breathing oxygen. Oxygen slowly burns human cells, which leads to normal death. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying to stop breathing, just it' seemed interesting to say.

@Yuffie3982 Water vapor constitutes Earth's most significant greenhouse gas, accounting for about 95% of Earth's greenhouse effect (5). Interestingly, many "facts and figures' regarding global warming completely ignore the powerful effects of water vapor in the greenhouse system, carelessly (perhaps, deliberately) overstating human impacts as much as 20-fold.
mooners40 1 year ago
@Yuffie3982 Just how much of the "Greenhouse Effect" is caused by human activity?
It is about 0.28%, if water vapor is taken into account-- about 5.53%, if not.
This point is so crucial to the debate over global warming that how water vapor is or isn't factored into an analysis of Earth's greenhouse gases makes the difference between describing a significant human contribution to the greenhouse effect, or a negligible one.
mooners40 1 year ago

It's a feedback mechanism.

Essentially you're just plucking ideas out of the air and hoping that no-one catches you at it.
Private US corporations finance 35% of GLOBAL research and the contribution from the US government amounts to 1.5% of that figure.
In my personal experience most of the funding in Norway is from oil and gas companies, but obviously they aren't biased in any way
Victorian explorers also claimed to have found Buddhist temples in the Grand Canyon and Pterodactyls in Java, we can't find those either.

2: temps have fallen the past 10 years while CO2 continues to rise.

The spirit of plants is parallel to the spirit of man, it is not something divided from the actual perception of what is. Indeed, the energy and awareness of such things is complementary to the awakening and awareness of the human being in respect to its environment and everything that it is and which " that" implies. I have been there, the only "thing" that divides you from everything else in that respect us fear of the other.
lucidworld 2 years ago
And fear is not simply "fear" in the sense of the unknown, fear in its most profound sense is the fear of the incredible brilliance that the human organism radiates. We are afraid of what we are, to really break all barriers and see what is is a state of being that is at the best uncomfortable, and at the worst a destroyer of the mind. And yet so necessary and critical to our growth and sentient beings.
lucidworld 2 years ago
Again, very wonderful -- but only that?
goog2k 2 years ago
Only that? I don't know about you, but in my experience I don't absorb life in such a manner. There is so much I could say about "that", yet to elaborate on such beautiful moments is to defeat its beauty by trying to define it. Simplicity is beauty. To know "that "and enjoy such beauty is enough for me. It is a continuous process, that experience never ends, it is simply the way I experience life.
lucidworld 2 years ago
To imply any difference between this "beauty" and that "beauty" is to imply the movement of time and space, which is thought. To look at a cloudless sky and feel that space, that space being the silence which we are really implying, is to see everything.
lucidworld 2 years ago
I'm not, in any way, trying to diminish what you've expressed. However, there truly is something more -- another step, which is very wonderful and profound. I promise you that.

Einstein and Sagan were both "atheists" who had a very deep "spiritual" appreciation for Nature.
This is an interesting thought experiment: Where does your 'breath' come from?
There are obvious physiologic causes but where did they come from? Keep following it back as far as you can.

Your facts just don't add up, I'm sorry. I appreciate your concern for humanity though :)

The Univ. of Illinois published a poll of over 10,000 earth scientists in January 2009.
Search: Examining the Scientific Consensus on Climate Change
75 out of 77 or 97.4% of Climate scientists who had published peer reviewed papers stated Global warming was MAN-MADE.

Duhh!!!
Not one single Climate Change denier can explain it.

so why has the average temperatures on other planets in our solar system risen as well???

goog2k 2 years ago
how does the temperature have anything to do with CO2?- link it please. Explain how your breathing damages the environment. CO2 - did you watch the full video? AND Your logic is off. The temperature change could be a natural thing (did other planets warm up as well - look it up please) and there are studies that show the ice caps may be growing again... look up artic atmos - edu.
I am so astonished at how easily people accept this - yes we harm the environment but not GW.

You'll get ALL the facts.
WHY??
goog2k 2 years ago
Duhhh?

Gore is the ultimate hypocrit on this issue. Why people still listen to him is beyond me.

Did Gore and the Gorists receive taxpayers money for that useless research???
Is he in conflict of interest making money of his scam?

How much money did Gore receive for his movie Mr. Lame Brain.
jackg1001 2 years ago
the Greening Earth Society is funded and controlled by the Western Fuels Association. Friends of Science is no better, it does not tell openly about its funding.
This video is made by oil industry whores. Sure, don't trust the scientists, science academies or scientific organizations. ;)

Al Gore has no motives for making his movie ?
... because he's just such a compassionate man ?
clemmer22 2 years ago 3
Even if it was made by the oil industry...how is that different from Gore making his full of lies movie? I tend to agree with this video since a judge in England ruled Gore's movie was full of false statements in a law suit.

really? can u send me a link to that article? because i can see why.
al gore is the biggest douche bag in the world. not to mention its complete fraud what he's doing...i used his own co2 and temperature graph to prove temperature drives co2 not the other way around like he claims
