Just looking back at solstices past and find that I've crept into a few of your photos! It was a wonderfull sunrise. Hope to be there again this year!
In response to Warren111able's comment, there were a few of the locals going round with thermos flasks, giving out acorn and brandy coffee on the tor path and a chap selling strawberrys at the foot of the tor after sunrise! So not entirely on your own eh! ;)
the only problem that there was is in that the town which is only 10mins walk, doesn't even sell coffee till 7am-as if the locals reject the popularity that time of year.Loads of cafes,granted,..but not one will open till late!,No access to food-nothing!-so be warned if you make the trip-you are on your own until at least 7am.
why are people there dressed as if it was cold, if the summer solstice is indeed in summer? perhaps summers in england are cold in the morning, i just don't know...
Challenge here was to find the right music? Well you did it.
I know nothing of this place or celebration...but what exudes is calm joy, natural bliss and low key rapture.. a delighted hum is imagined well below the music..unheard but present...like a gyroscope hand wound and humming in a natural path across a hardwood floor.. All is well there, and all ARE well and improving there, too. Same here if we would only see it.

Beautiful video/pictures. I'm excited for my own visit to the Tor this year even more now. What is the music/artist?
