After the legends, Patti, Aretha, Tina Turner, Chaka, Diana, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey! Beyonce leaves off where they stopped. The true singers! We have seem to forget that back in the day singers like Rihanna & Ciara wouldn't have even existed because they don't have strong vocals to back them up! I don't think she is the best singer and sometimes I find her voice quite annoying, but I like her dynamic gradations, one of the few artists who employ dynamics in a single phrase. That's good.

I love it. It's probably the best video that's on youtube about Bey vocally. He did a great job of explaining what Bey does with dynamics, rhythmically and overall aspect of her phrasing. Another thing, people tend to say that she don't emote or don't have personality within her voice, he did a great job explaining what Bey does to evote emotion with her voice. It's an awesome video, I watch almost every day.
I would love to see a vid like this for Leona Lewis, Beyonce's a much better technician than her, but man Leona's got a gorgeous tone, with powerful belts, a great mix voice (if it exists) I mean the girl's very underrated. But we're talking about Bey here, what a wonderful woman, so gorgeous and such a talent, someone who constantly gets better and masters their art. This is due to the fact those tracks are STUDIO EDITED (hence they're STUDIO TRACKS), which is very similar to the thing you do on your PC while doing videos like this one. It's not surprising you used about 30 STUDIO tracks to try to justify Beyonce is a "virtuoso".

Incredible audio editing skills and a good audio/video software can easily manage that, or can't it? Other parts may also have been "pitch shifted" in minor degrees which can go unnoticed.

I ask myself again, was it REALLY necessary to explain the "shift pitch" in Lost Yo Mind? Should I have REASONABLE DOUBT for all the segments in the video and not just that one? Decieving with a single "pitch shift" can be clever enough, so I decided to check all of them myself, which most viewers don't do. I double checked "1:13-1:24 Dangerously in Love (Beyonce Experience DVD)" and "4:52-5:01 Sweet Love (Wynn)".
It seems likely you EDITED many of the audio used for your video, shifting the pitch on many segments and not only on one ("I had to pitch shift the final segment of Lost Yo Mind"), probably to make her seem like the perfect opera technician, which she isn't at all that extent. It's surprising you had to put that on the description to somehow convince viewers it was THAT necessary and with no further explanation.

Christina's 4 octave range is a disconnected mess....Beyonce's range is actually connected she can sing with power/resonance, actually supports her voice and is extremely agile.

I would love to see a vid like this for Leona Lewis, Beyonce's a much better technician than her, but man Leona's got a gorgeous tone, with powerful belts, a great mix voice (if it exists) I mean the girl's very underrated. But we're talking about Bey here, what a wonderful woman, so gorgeous and such a talent, someone who constantly gets better and masters their art. Godbless her such and inspiration making me work to be better.

As a musical expert yourself, I believe you do realize studio tracks in albums or singles represent the lowest degree of trustworthiness in order to correctly analyse & classify vocal dynamics & abilities. This is due to the fact those tracks are STUDIO EDITED (hence they're STUDIO TRACKS), which is very similar to the thing you do on your PC while doing videos like this one. It's not surprising you used about 30 STUDIO tracks to try to justify Beyonce is a "virtuoso".

Those parts seem "pitch shifted" as well from the original, it seems you REALLY needed to justify that her "tones diminish on a single pitch", like I said, "clever enough". Incredible audio editing skills and a good audio/video software can easily manage that, or can't it? Other parts may also have been "pitch shifted" in minor degrees which can go unnoticed.

I ask myself again, was it REALLY necessary to explain the "shift pitch" in Lost Yo Mind? Should I have REASONABLE DOUBT for all the segments in the video and not just that one? Decieving with a single "pitch shift" can be clever enough, so I decided to check all of them myself, which most viewers don't do. I double checked "1:13-1:24 Dangerously in Love (Beyonce Experience DVD)" and "4:52-5:01 Sweet Love (Wynn)".

It seems likely you EDITED many of the audio used for your video, shifting the pitch on many segments and not only on one ("I had to pitch shift the final segment of Lost Yo Mind"), probably to make her seem like the perfect opera technician, which she isn't at all that extent. It's surprising you had to put that on the description to somehow convince viewers it was THAT necessary and with no further explanation.

You really left out most of her vocal weaknesses which are important to comprehend the full extension of a vocalist. You placed some of them at the end of the video so you wouldn't have the need to make emphasis on them, especially on her "singing them at higher pitches". Beyonce is a good vocalist, no doubt about it, but your video is partially biased ("THE VOICE of Our Generation") and overrated.

The G5 at the end of your video was "hit" and had no resonance, it seems she can't go that high on chest voice and you know it better than I do, Mr. BZBlaner. I suggest you quit treating Beyonce like if she were some sort of classical music vocalist or worst, an opera singer. Christina's 4 octave range is a disconnected mess....Beyonce's range is actually connected she can sing with power/resonance, actually supports her voice and is extremely agile.
It's not about the voice "fitting" the music...but rather what the singer does with their voice to make it an authentic performance....that is something Christina doesn't understand.

@atolm1 Nope, I called you out on not paying ANY degree or form of attention to this video. To watch this video and come out with comments like, "she has to add a vocal run to everything" shows me that you watched maybe two minutes of this video and then decided to start downgrading Beyonce's obvious vocal greatness. Beyonce is everything BUT overrated, in fact her vocal talents are the most underrated things in pop music now. Beyonce has always lived up to her hype and praise musically/vocally.

@atolm1 Beyonce is a mother now, so she will be taking a break... but then again, who are you --- some YouTube user (with an apparently poor attention span) --- to say that Beyonce, music's biggest current superstar, to take a break? Beyonce sings about LOVE; if you consider that to be "shallow" artistically, then so be it (that DOES indicate poor taste though).
