Yes, Boeing made gas turbine engines for some time. They never did well with their own designs because they were rather underpowered for their size, but they did second-source quite a few engines, including the J57 turbojet and the later TF33 turbofan which they used in the B-52.
@e081194eng You are right they dont make jet engines now!! the are sorcing all there engines to ge (general elctric )or prat and whitny but if you know this then its time you read you history books because you will find that boeing did bild test and flew there own jet enginesfrom about 1956 to 1973 and i amgiong to say that this engine was made in around 1960
The information you have is inaccurate. Boeing made turbine engines from the mid 50's to 1972. This one is a 553. It was first produced by Boeing, then Caterpillar for the Swedish S-tank. This one had about 450 shaft horsepower before they removed the power turbine section and made it a thrust engine.

1. There is no such thing as a "gas jet engine".
2. Boeing does not make engines.
Looks like a Honeywell APU to me.
