  • Did Maya get a treat as well? :D

  • @90Kirame Yep! That's why she always used to follow the tours :)

  • Ok, I have two questions. Does the small cats and the big cats get along pretty well? And what is the difference between a serval and sand cat between a normal house cat?

  • @TheCrf150freerider The domestic cats don't go near the enclosures, the big cats do like to stalk them from time to time :) Servals and sand cats are wild, they hiss, spit, spray and generally do not want to be near people

  • Is Jack Jack still there? I didn't see him when I was there for my interview. Also, can't wait to be an intern this summer! =D

  • @paigerr4971 Yep, he lives inside now though, he's old and deaf

  • @BigCatRescue Awww. I saw Jack Jack three years ago...Glad you are taking good care of him in his old age~ inside where he is safe and sound..:)

  • Bengali ^^

  • did anyone else notice that the domestic cat followed along on the whole tour and was unafraid next to tigers, leopards and cougars?

  • I want to go there. :3 I love cats of all sizes. This is in Tampa FL, right? I think I recognize some of the scenery.

  • @BloodyPainfulDeath Yep, correct, hope you can visit someday :)

  • I was reading about applications for the internship and I've got a question. Quote: "... Upon your first day another 4150 deposit will be required at the time of signing your contract." Does it mean that I've got to pay 4150 $ for the internship?

  • @klramon No this is a typo, I e-mailed our intern manager and will let you know when she responds, thanks for pointing this out to us :)

  • @klramon It should read $150 not 4150, thanks again, hope to see you at BCR! :)

  • @BigCatRescue aaa... Someone forgot to to press shift while typing. :)

  • I've got a question... Well I am from Germany and well is it possible for me to become an intern in big cat rescue?

  • @klramon Yep, definitely, if you visit our website BigCatRescue*org you can find all the info you need about applying for an internship: Good Luck!

  • @BigCatRescue I am looking forward to become an intern for this or next summer! Thanks! :)

  • @BigCatRescue, Have you seen the big cats mate?

  • @antonlikesxbox We do not breed at BCR, but the cats still try!!

  • who owns that domestic cat?

  • @cscate Jack Jack lives at Big Cat Rescue :)

  • I thought making the cats stand on their hind legs was frowned upon? Are you doing that only to showcase the cats size? Also, do the domestic cats ever walk directly up to the big cats enclosures and if so, what is the reaction of both animals to each other?

  • @TheLongAndWindingRd In places like circuses where they make their cats "walk" etc... it is. With operant conditioning at BCR, when we have the cat perform an "up" we can get a good look at their claws, stomach etc... so it's fun for them they get food treats and we can safely assess the cat :) The domestic cats always stay behind the barrier which is 3ft away from the enclosure, we do have cats that stalk the domestics but not that often.

  • @BigCatRescue - Thank you for your response. :)

  • Haha that random jack jack cat is so cute.

  • you dont have any jaguars do you?

  • @Ddstairclimber Nope, no jaguars or cheetahs, but this is a good thing :)

  • Wow, I never realized how tall Tigers were until the keeper had that Tiger stand up for his treat. Thats unbelievable. A question about the white Serval. Are they born white by natural means? Or is it like the white Tiger? Where its a genetic defect?

  • @Kyder We have the only two white servals that we know of in the world, they are caused by a recessive gene similar to the white tigers, although our white servals seem to be healthy??

  • @BigCatRescue Oh, I see. Thats interesting. Thanks for the reply! And I'm glad they're both healthy. :)

  • wow, a white serval. those must be rare. how do you keep your place going, donations?

  • @huskiepup We have two white servals the only two that we know of in the world! Yes we get no government support instead we survive using, tour revenue, gift shop sales, individual donors and company sponsors etc... :) Thanks for watching!

  • I adore the little domestic cats following the tour group. How do the little cats react around the big cats for the most part? Are the little cats free-roaming/outdoor cats?

  • Where can i buy a big cat and take it home as a pet? can i buy one of the cats from the big cat rescue?

  • @Warriorcats66 All our cats are at BCR for life, we do not breed, buy, sell or have contact with our cats and are 100% AGAINST ownership of these cats as so called "pets"

  • я сру борщём!!!!

  • Do you have or ever had Jaguars ? I love Jaguars .....

  • @clautabb99 We don't have jaguars now, but we have in the past.

  • I love tigers!! I am only ** but my dream job is to be a tiger handler, how you become something like that, and what is the age in which you can volunteer at big cat rescue? Is ther e 1 in GA

  • Hi, we are the only "Big Cat Rescue": with our single location being in Tampa Florida. You have to be 18 years or older to volunteer at the sanctuary :)

  • i wouldlike to do the 3 month internship but when i graduate my high school senior year i will be 17 until july 24th, would i need to wait till the next year?

  • do u know of any big cat sancuaries/rescues in colorado. I would love to work there and help out

  • If you google it, you will find some, be sure that they are true sanctuaries however, we do not breed or allow any contact with our cats.

  • so funny the way Jack Jack and Maya follow you...They're not scared at all ! :)

  • 3:06 Impressive.

  • would i need to work in a zoo to work with big cats? i wanted to be a vet, but if being an exotic trainer makes just as much money i would love it so much more!

  • There's zoos, safari parks, sanctuaries etc...Training wild animals to perform tricks would be a shallow career compared to being a vet, I think so anyway???

  • NO, i didnt mean that, i meant like taming them in the zoo or wild, have you seen the show "into the pride"?

i would never, im against the circus and im vegan

  • I'd go for the veterinary career :)

  • Cool! Big cats are beautiful. And of course, litte big cats, too! So funny when Maya was looking for some food. Jack Jack and Maya are even tagging along with the tour visiting their big cousins. ^_^ Great video!

  • Outstanding. Gives knowledge to people like us a lot of insight and understanding of these big cats to respect them. The patience endured by the handlers and feeders are most welcomed sight to know the big cats are safe and well cared for. I give 5 stars to all these sanctuaries that protect these exotic animals. Tom Lyons

  • Thanks for watching and for your comments we are doing our best for these cats :)

  • i think Tonga is a very pretty cat, im guessing you rescued her from a breeder, but she is really a pretty cat, looks like a normal house cat when she is sitting

  • Tonga was actually born at the sanctuary back in 1997, back then we had only the guidance of other people who told us to breed our cats to preserve the species etc.. since then we have learned that this is a very bad idea. HE does look kinda cute at time, but can become hissy and aggressive very quickly!

  • Hey mom, can I have one like that xD ? lol

I really appreciate your work with those beautiful animals!

You have my subscribe 'BigCatRescue' ^_^

  • Thanks for watching and subscribing!

  • i think simba the leopard and the cougar at the very end need to take a trip to the kitty gym and lose a few pounds lol. but there still pretty:) and tongas adorable! i love servals. hehe jack jack and maya are funny, i cant believe there not scared around those huge cats

  • wow big cats are my fav animals you TOTALLY rock!!!!!!!! btw love your name

  • Thanks!

  • awesome video!! you're lucky to get to work with big cats..i respect and admire much :)

  • that Leopard is a bit over weight!!?

  • What could i do to join this type of orgnazation i love animals espically big cats !!

  • If you would like to volunteer visit our website bigcatrescue*org and look on the volunteer page and all the info you need is there, thanks!

  • Man, this sort of operation sure takes a ton of commitment -- hats off to you all! I heard thunder at 1:48 and I couldn't help wondering how the sanctuary does during hurricanes. Have you had any problems?

  • Hi, thanks, we have alot of committed volunteers that help the staff members keep Big Cat Rescue running smooth. We have been very lucky when it comes to hurricanes in the past, all our cages are like cylinders and absorb the impact like a trampoline if a tree were to fall on it. take a look at our podcast "hurricane preparation" for more info, thanks for watching!

  • Names from Lion king? - Simba, Nala :)

    I love Lion King ^_^

  • Maybe, we have simba tiger and simba leopard but no simba lion!

  • aww jack jack =D

hehe aw simba and tonga r cutteee!!!! can i have them all??? LOL

i wanna work there when im old enought! how do i do it?

  • I agree they are cute cats, Big Cat rescue normally hires from within from our volunteer base, so if you live in Tampa, volunteering would be a great start!

  • I didn't expect to see domestic cats there...LOL

  • Yeah little and large, weird to see in person!

  • Aww Jack Jack is so cute, can hear him meowing "Gimme treats!"

  • Yeah he's a cool cat, the guests always get a kick out of the domestic cats being so close to the big cats!

  • Oh how I wish I lived in Florida to work here. You guys are the greatest. I work with Humane officers here in PA . I pretty much do all they do but just dont have my badge yet since training is 1 time a year. I would just love to work here. I love all animals but big cats will always hold a special place in my heart, especially the amur leopards. I try to help you guys out as much as i can from here & I know I have made alot of people aware of you. Good work guys & maybe I will see you someday

  • Hi, thanks for your support and for spreading the word about what we do that's a great help! Thanks for watching and I hope you can make it down here someday to see the cats!

  • why is the small cat there? does the cat serve a purpose?

  • They're just a couple of our domestic cats we have on property, we look after them well and they know the rules and stay away for the big cats!

  • It only make sense to have house cats there as they are all family with the big cats.

  • how much to reserve a tour?

  • The keeper tour costs $100 per person, which is form 2-4pm on fridays and saturdays. As well as the operant conditioning part of the tour featured in this video you do enrichment for the cats where you make toys and treats for them and watch as a keeper hands them out!

  • Good job.

  • Thanks!!!

  • BCR is the very best! The care and love they give all their animals is second to none. Also, we humans can sure get a lot of knowledge from their tours. I wish BCR continued success!

  • Thanks for your encouragement!

  • BCR what an awesome job you have. Thank you for all you do in caring for these gorgeous creatures whom God made. It's so sad that some people think they can be pets:( But it is wonderful that you take care of them. Thank you and may the Lord Jesus bless you.

  • George Adamson wrote in his book:"Who will now care for the animals, for they cannot look after themselves? Are there young men and women who are willing to take on this charge? Who will raise their voices, when mine is carried away on the wind, to plead their case?"George Adamson1906-1989

    x they were Good people

  • iiiiiiiiiiiiiii llllllllllovvveeee cats!!!

  • It is so great to see the BCR has found healthy alternatives to using drugs to check out the well being of these animals. Lots of hard work from all the volunteers to ensure the training that is so desperately needed in case of emergencies.

  • maya and jack jack... they are so cute!!!

BCR gives the best info about these great animals... kip up the good work!!!

  • thats a awesome tour....lol i like jack jack...i like how hes just following everyone around :3

  • iwill comment on these two Crappy ilusionist

Thart have those Whithe Bengal tigers for Entertainment.

Sigfried and Roy Are there Name

One of them got attacked by one of the cats and was injured badly. But he recoverd and now they gladly anounce that they have got another tiger. THESE IDIOTS is Partly to blame for the Using of Tigers as PETS. it was to bad then he was attacked that he did not... so They should get it that TIGER are NOT TO USE AS PETS. Thanks for now.

  • You have a great job..!!!

  • Maya is the coolest. I love to see her in the videos. Thanks BCR for caring for these magnificent animals, and giving them the care, food, and love that they need.

  • A white serval. I never seen an albino of that species. Beautiful!

  • Such Beautiful animals, It's sad that people think a Tiger/Lion/Serval/Lynx etc would make a good pet. Glad ther are places like Big Cat Rescue and Shambala for these wonderful, magnificent creatures!

  • BigCatRescue is the best ever... I wanted to try out the keeper tour so bad.

  • It's AMAZING. I have gone on that tour before. I hope you get to go on the tour someday! It's an awesome experience. =)

  • WHat a great job to have! Thanks for posting!

  • Jack Jack better be careful or he might get too close and become a snack snack....haha......man those cats are awesome....I might come and take the tour myself.

  • it is also really cute how domestic cats can mix with the wild cats! really funny. compared to domestic cats, those wild cats are BIG!

WOW! COOL THANKS FOR SHARING :)

  • Love the cats! They're absolutely beautiful and brilliant. I'm so happy you are helping nature :)
