I'm a an ardent supporter of the current GoSL and it's military action against the ltte. Please have no doubts about it. But having said that, Jaliya Wickramasooriya is a nephew of MR and this was a political appointment. Why on earth can't we have a more competent person or a carrier diplomat, with better rhetoric and convincing power? Afterall, this is the Srilankan ambassador to the US!! Our soldiers are doing a damn good job in the field, but what about these diplomats?
