First off if you leave the crease, including Tim Thomas you will get hit. Thomas left the crease in the finals last year in game 2 and Vancouver capitalized and scored and won. Secondly, Shanahan has done an about face about the Bruins. Shawn Thornton got attacked by seven players and the Canucks still got a 2 man advantage while Marchand got suspended for a hit exactly like the Senators did on Dion Phaneuf. Then they did nothing to PK Subban, who tried to intentionally concuss David Krejci.
