i was sure that the robots on robostory chanted "...nuts and bolts, bolts, bolts: bolts and nuts, nuts, nuts..." but ive been trawling through these episodes and can't find it.
I used to watch this on ABC in Australia as a kid. I completely forgot the name of the show but I found it by searching for "always remember you are the lowest of the low". A great message for a kid to have burnt into his brain :)
Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh !!! Robostory I used to watch this in the summer holidays when I was akid am the only one who can remember it out of mayed oh maybe coot can remember it ! Anyway loved Robostory as a kid it was ace
Those dozen or so notes from 1:19 to 1:23 have been etched in my memory for the past 25+ years. This brings back so many memories. I've tried to find this cartoon before, but didn't know what it was called.
Hahaha, it takes youtube to show me the cartoon I've been hunting for for years. Back in the day you grew up on this stuff. I found the name out about a year ago, it never occurred to me to look on youtube.
Oh my god I've been trying to find this cartoon for ages. Me and my bro's used to watch it all the time when we were kids. Love white wriggler. hehe Forgot the name of it was Robo Story thought it was White Wriggler or something like that.
Hello there - just thought everyone would like to know that I'm currently posting a bunch of Robostory episodes to my account. I have two up so far, I should have about seven more up by the end of the week.
I vaguely remember the episode where that guy becomes lower than the lowest of the low and turns his colour from black to white,.lol... This used to come on back to back with Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors on ITV in the early 80's,...Cheers for the upload!!!
Just to joining the masses. I agree. Best find on the web for years! I tried to look this up about 3 years ago and could only find a dead thread talking about 'the lowest of the low'. I too used to watch this all the time as a kid and my oldest sister always called me "the lowest of the low" for years. Awesome! Thank you so much for posting this. Watching this has started my day the old school way :) Does anyone know the process for trying to get old shows released on DVD?
i would LOVE to see this show again! It took me ages just to find the name (even though I vividly remembered many moments from this, such as the White "lowest of the low" Wriggler with his little choo-choo train, the old robot's secret, etc). Great to hear the theme again! Thanks!
So I was not crazy. Needless to say for how long I have been looking for this cartoon. Strangely I never forgot the music but the rest was so vague that I was never sure about it even when I found some pictures on the net. That was until I found this post. Thanks so much.
Mate. You have no idea how long the title of this cartoon has escaped me. Like everyone else I have always drawn blank looks when trying to find out anything about it. Long lost days of watching this show while eating brekky before school came flooding back. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
i've been trying desperately for 6 years to locate this cartoon. I too met with strange looks whenever i tried to describe it. Mind you, all i could say was it had a a white version of Darth Cader and a classical sounding Theme music, so not a great deal to go on!!! So glad i've finally found it.
It seems a common thing to say but I have been stared at like a fool speaking gibberish every time i described this Fantastic Cartoon to anyone, its such a relief to find out the name and to know that i wasnt having some sort of delusionary psychotic episode. Bless You for posting this. such simple beauty and wonderous sarcasm.
When will someone bring out a dvd of the entire series(anyone...PLEASE)
I have an episode of this on Betamax tape. Good old 80s. I, too, had forgotten the name of this cartoon. I agree that the music is hypnotic, second only to Les Mondes Engloutis.
You legend, ashjjj. I did a google search on this out of curiosity just to see if I could find something about this show. A big favorite for me as a kid, just before school. Like everyone else it seems.
Wow, seems almost everyone on here has the same story I do, a vague childhood memory of a cartoon that almost seemed like it never existed.
You're an absoloute legend for posting this ashjjj :D
Now I can finally tell people the name of this intriguing show, that left the saying "Never forget, you are the lowest of the low" stuck in heads of countless poeple for decades afterwards, lol, (way to self affirm) :D
Fantastic!!!!. Do you have anymore to upload? Been looking for this cartoon for years. Me and my sister used to watch this in the summer holidays in the 80's.
I used to watch it when I was 9.I think those years, producers made the best cartoons.Clementine,Time masters,Spartakus and the sun beneath the sea,all Jules Verne classics were drawn at those period.
We all grew up with paradoxal stories, that's why most movies don't give taste to me nowadays.
It's funny how so many people here feel the same. I actually tried contacting the ABC who was responsible for its broadcast in Australia to get copies of their archive. I'm seriously considering starting some sort of petition for it's ressurection onto DVD, I think it could be really successful.
I loved that cartoon when I was a kid and I still do. It's low budget but it doesn't matter, it's awsome. I didn't know that it went of France, it's fun to ear it in english! :)
Thankyou!!! I can't believe someone actually still has a copy of this - I only know one other person who has even heard of it! I figured it was long gone...
"hard to find these days" - that's an understatement! When a search on Google (up until VERY recently) returns ZERO results, you know it's rare!
my god! i thought this cartoon was a dream, i loved this when i was a kid, i ask my friends if they remember it, none of them do, ashjjj, you deserve a medal
@huffdiggler, That's exactly how I felt about it, like it was a dream! Nobody else could ever remember it when I asked, and I have never forgotten the "Always remember you are the lowest of the low," line. Does my heart good to see this.
I've often looked for this. Such a creative a cartoon. Reminds me of Bode a bit. It had a much darker subplot that seemed to be unfolding as the story carried on.
I read that they simply ran out of money and had to close down the studio before the cartoon was finished.

I remember this: Once again, you are lowest of the low!!
Around the same time this was running, there was an animated violin orchestra tune that also appeared on TV. Any idea what that was called?
