Really, I didn't know she wrote this. I do know they came to share the same producer, Glen Ballard, and probably that's where they hooked up. There are later videos she did, inviting Boyd Tinsley to perform with her on violin on stage. About 3 minutes into the song, I hear banjo, I think. Would that be Bela Fleck of the Flecktones?

Nope, you're wrong. This song was written by Dave. Alanis is just a guest that does her beautiful vocals that attracted me to DMB for the first time about 9 years ago. Since then this song has remained my favorite.
