    Hi Longandhard

If you mean that i'm telling lies, i guessed at the weight as i can't remember the actual specifics of this job. The cast weight can be up to double the finished weight depending on the shape of the job but more normally around50% this is to account for shrinkage as it cools..

I'm off work at the moment, as soon as i get back i'll make enquiries as to the cast/finished weight and post on here ;-)

  • vroom-vroom!!

  • For such a heavy load I am guessing the chains would of done little if anything to keep it in place, the sheer weight alone would of kept it on the bed, I cant wait to get into heavy work

  • Hmmm, i worked on that casting (as i do on all castings made at forgemasters!)..

i can't remember the actual cast weight but i'm fairly sure that it was over 500tonnes (ie, before the heads, runners and padding were removed...)

  • Hello Just a small correction:

This is not a pure Faymonville trailer. Ther first four axle module and the last modules are original Scheuerle Intercombis and not a belgian copy.

  • Amazing.

  • Cool Video It was 300 ton

  • what is yhe weight off it..
