What with the anger and apathy towards this video? It makes perfect sense. I can't see how anyone who actually cares about our future can gripe about this, it's well researched and put forward in a succint manner, if you want more/deeper info... read her book.

@WSWarthog Not in America we don't except at times like now and during the Red Scare and such. What make us America is that when we find out about them we fight them. Under Bush we did the exact opposit.
It seems like one of the many reasons why many people are too afraid to stand up for their rights and freedoms is because we still live in a pecking order society.
In my own opninion, if we choose a good leader, totalitarism could save and improuve a country within a few years, totalitarism is was not made for lazy idiots who just want to work and improuve for their own benefit, totalitarism cares about the country as a whole, all of the culture and economy within it. Everyone should contribute to build a better nation, and I mean mandatory, because the future of a nation is carried by the people who care and contribute actively. (sorry for my bad english)
Most of these steps aren't just happening in US, but also in countries like Norway, a country that is about to give the Nobel's Peace Prize to a convicted Chinese criminal.
Ummm... it can't be that simple because there's another "collective" (that doesn't like being identified as such unless it's advantageous to do so) which these 10 steps can apply to... only to mention them makes me evil and certainly politically incorrect...
@OniNoFro I don't understand what you're saying. Any collective can put these steps into practice. The point of this video is that these things are happening in the US under Democratic and Republican presidents and congresses. We all should be worried about the government growing power.

It's very true the issues you point out are occurring in North America and it's a legitimate concern but the power exerted through government isn't just government on it's own.
If you want to be disturbed, take the 10 steps and apply the methodology to radical feminists and sympathetic organizations.

The steps are to totalitarianism. Dictators when they come into power do not always have complete control, they must implement policies for total control. Spying on citizens is one of those policies to consolidate power. I still don't understand your angry attitude.
