Both, its also the type of sub. I work in audio and have done/had man different systems, but my favorite one yet is my current one. I have ONE RE SE 12" sub (Same maker as the FI BTL) and it flexes my rear windshield, roof, and both rear doors in my civic. NOT like this, but the point is its one woofer w. 2000 watts and a huge vente box.
