reducing fire rate on this might be hard because of the size. if it is blow back operated the only thing to do is stiffen the recoil spring or increase the weight of the bolt. both of these options have limits, again becasue of the size of the weapon. this is also a relatively high pressure cartridge for such a small weapon... i luv it. home defense? heh...
@pnktout there is a .50 cal that fires close to that, it's called the M3M .50cal made by FN Herstal. Used for airbourne platforms- we call them short time on target weapons. :-)
1300RMP is fun and all. But it would be cool i think to build it at the same 550rpmish cyclic rate of a real M2. Even in .17 or .22 Mag would still be fun.
@pnktout There is a way to slow it down slightly...maybe to around 800RPM. the gun was made before 1986 and was rebarreled for the new 17HMR cartridge. back then it was the only thing like it so regulating the RPM was not a concern at the time.
Who the hell said anything about it being a toy? I mentioned the cyclic rate would be cool to match a "full size" (real) M2 .50 Cal. 30 years involved the firearms world, I know the difference between a toy or not.
@HunterHornet At our website message boards in the upcoming weeks, we will be building some M2 miniatures for all to watch. We currenly have some M2HB miniature parts kits that are sold as a home builder project. These kits will be built by individuals as semi-autos and be watching the message boards as a builders guide. the guns I will have built during the online guide will be sold after completion.
We actually did it. We built a special receiver in 22LR for a drone aircraft. weighs under 2 pound and fires 1100 per minute. All remotely flown and fired.
@qwert690 We will be making other videos this summer showing target destruction. Subscribe to our videos and you'll be kept in the loop. Better yet, visit our site for any and all new info.
Squirrelpocolypse...........bring it on:)
I like seeing the round do its job well in an auto despite all the bad press in semi's.

I wish that I could have one of those in 22lr. I also think it would be neat if some company would make mini AK-47's that shot either 17hmr or 17hm2.

@LSM1213 would the gun not have ejection problems because of the low power of the round

@HunterHornet just save some of your paycheck aside and get one and do the paper work, pay the $200 transfer tax and pay for the gun
