Considering that you posted this 2 months ago, your condition may no longer apply, but I have two words on how to make Rathalos a piece of cake:

"Flash Bombs"

While affected, all he'll do is sit there and growl and you can whale on his head. I reccomend a strong ice weapon if you can get one, unless you can somehow get dragon.

hammer charge does more damage on the upward swing but for rathions head the downward swing would not have connected it does quake type damage and the recovery time is horrible he does more with the triple pound

to get rathalos wing you must break the wings and hope to get it as a reward or carver but it is not that rare.

Yes, there is a lot of loading in this game. BUT, you can use it to sip on your beverage while you wait XD, and you'll get used to it. In Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (coming 6/23/09), you will get to install the UMD onto your Memory Stick to reduce loading to essentially nothing.

it doesnt matter REALLY about that, i think u have to be atleast hr4 because of green rank but ya, u just need to cross ur damn fingers, and dont let anyone die. also try capturing it.. (get it to looww health and use 1-2 tranq bombs)

if you want it by meal then it is the combination of Kirin Cheese and Emerald Durian(you know in the Fellyne kitchen)...or else you can use nutrients

there are also some armors that raise up the health,as kut-ku's armors,or rathian's...

Dont do kirin cheese and emerald durian. If you have 5 cats do kirin cheese and goldenfish brew, it raises your health all the way up and your stamina all the way up

you raise your HR by doing guild quests. to get Hr2 you need to pass to i think the lvl 3 quest or lvl 4. not sure. Then Hr3 by going to lvl 4 or 5

You know how this is only a level 2 mission in the guild hall? I faced this thing with all hermitaur mail and that ice sword and shield all level 1 . I thought ok its a level 2 mission and I just beat a blangonga from the old lady (level 4)how hard could it be... Holy shit it took me like 15 tries and all my large bomb + and small bomb + to kill this mother fucker. Fuking 45 mins into my final mission I actually catch this bitch that flies EVERYWHERE and kill it.

Use ICE against it dude. - It's natural weakness. Try a BLANGO DECIMATOR. It's a sweet LONG SWORD.

Um... I don't know any ICE great swords but if you can get your hands on the HALBERD or the EXECUTIONOR then all you got to do is use charged draw-attacks and your set! Try linking combos if he flinches afterwards. And keep rolling-away after each individual strike.
