On your Scratch Live, after you close the program and re-open, do your playlists ever get shuffled or mixed up? My only guess is that I have a lot of my music on a portable hard-drive that hooks up to the laptop, so whenever that gets unplugged, it can't calculate where in the tracklist it's supposed to go. Any suggestions?

when u spin and go backwards in the song how do u know exactly where to land at the beginning of a sound? or is he just really good at telling how far to turn the record to go towards however many seconds away the part of the song he wants to go to.

exactly, good dj's know the vinyl like the palm of their hand. if needed, Some will put marks or stickers on the records they use specifically for beat juggling and/or scratching to find those points. Watch some DMC championship footage and you will see what I'm talking about

@onesixlovee Thats why he has the "dot" sticker on the vinyl.. he learns when the sound comes and then spins it back to the position everytime.. consider the dot as the arrow showing the time on a round clock :) the kick comes at two o'clock and you remember everytim that the kick is at 2 o'clock :) hope this helped :)

@australansk8 well traditional vynel where you dont have visual cues on a screen. they use dots and tape to mark spots. with th visual cue from scratch live its more or less a secondary possition marker.

@TRNCTXCDJ dude the computer program is NOT doing anything for him except allowing him to carry two records instead of hundreds, it's no different to using records on turntables, cds on cdjs or usb sticks on media players to play music from its just a medium, the scratching and beat juggling is still dependent on the skill of the DJ just like with real records. just because he has serato doesn't make it any easier
