  • Boring.

  • kiedyś to na MTV leciała muzyka a teraz pokazują jakichś pedałów co sie na randki umawiają no ludzie

  • Henry Rollins, alternative music on MTV, the mid-90's. Total win.

  • he wasnt acting there

  • I have to say, if you want to make alternative music, you have to make your own.

  • "I'll be good..... I promise." Que Rollins band song I am a Liar lol

  • Funny how he tries to be a bad guy there.

  • I watch you with the sound off, you pretentious fuckhead-adult spawned from an adolescent bully spawned from a pipsqueak who was bullied.

  • Hilarious!!!

  • henry rollins on mtv??? really??

  • this is ridiculously unpunk rock

  • 0:05/0:06 who's the guy with the wet hair? And @ 0:13, smashing pumpkins or not?

  • @TheRacistsMustDie Yea, it's the Pumpkins w/ a snippet of 'Disarm'

  • @thetheRedundant Thanks man.

  • @TheRacistsMustDie Do you need a guide for alternative music? :)

  • @mydogsbiteu Haha, good one. @parafleet Wow, with the sound off, are you sure you're not being too tough on him؟

  • The major corporationsor should i say the coporate cocksuckers have made their judgement......alternative is out....hip hop and rap are in. It's a sad day people...

  • This was when, MTV. ...Rocked! Wait, did it EVER actually rocked to begin with? /rhetorical/

  • If you need a guide to Alternative Music then you need more than a guide. You need a fucking clue.

  • fuck mtv

  • lol anybody that likes rollins, you're as dumb as he is. he's a fucking sell out. he's the fake.he's the phony trash

  • @johnroiberts

Are you kidding? I don't know who you are, but the guy is a workaholic. He makes it onto television, radio, and writes articles for Vanity Fair and people think he's a sell out all of a sudden? He still speaks his mind in every one of those places and has been very clear about enjoying all of the work he is involved in. Being a sell out is more of doing something that a person doesn't want to do just to cash in.

  • @CaptainDFunk

rollins raped my dog, then called my cat a liar

  • @johnroiberts

In the words of Keith Morris, "Keep your bullshit about Henry away, no one needs to know what you think, because you don't even know him..."

  • FFFF

    What happened to MTV??!?!?!

  • @dontkeepthisname They lost the focus on the music.. and started making stupid fuckin shows. I miss those days of 24hrs of music videos.. no more 120 mins., just watching Robot Chicken en junk on Adult Swim.

  • henry rollins on mtv? im not mad, just suprised

  • eh, he's better as a douchebag actor than a douchebag musician

  • I think at this point, Henry Rollins should just be known as Angry. All his spoken word is about how angry he is. Take a chill pill, bro. Listen to some Allman Brothers.

  • I'll be good. I promise... LOL!

  • when did this become the henry rollins hate mail page, you think he gives a shit, the man is a genius with a work ethic that is just sick

  • he used to be punk but then he started writing books and doing commercial tv shows.. that doesnt make him a sell out.. because its media related just like music.. its part of the same career.. but... fuck it i aint a huge fan of rollins. but selling out wouldnt be doin an ad on tv... selling out would be like going and being in a hardcore band and being all rebelious then quiting to persue a job at an office and dressing smartly and being polite.

  • Yeah Henry, didn't you do a GAP ad around this time? You ruined Black Flag!!!

  • yah after the hardcore scene died out in the 80s he wanted to make money like everyone else, so he got away from the underground scene and went mainstreme

  • @Twedoo Stick to "Foo Fighters" (lol)

  • ( lol ) Rollins shouldn't have done that He looked like an idiot and a buffoon.

  • awesome commercial

  • Some people are greedy enough to sell away ethics... Honest people these days are few...

  • Jeremy spokeeen... ;)

    Henry Rollins ftw ;)

  • Look Verse or Have Heart or The First Step for some good but modernd Hardcore Punk

  • real music is just sleeping and living underground right now..

  • music's not dead, shallow/stubborn people only believe so because they're too busy sucking their own cocks to listen to something new.

  • THIS

  • PUNX NOT DED.

  • the music may not be dead as such but the punk ethic is

  • LEARN TO WRITE

  • Take a joke, moron. Can you really not read sarcasm?

  • Can't you?

  • Apparently not because it wasn't very clever.

    HENRY ROLLINS IS AWESOME.

  • yeah,he is. i'm sorry for fucking with you, i thought you were one of those internet gangsters that was going to respond : i kno how to rite, imma bust ya ass nigga, ya mama dont kno how to rite!!111

  • Apology accepted. Hahaha, internet gangsters commenting a Henry Rollins video...

  • you get internet gangsters on any video

  • yeee ahh hate dat shit

  • hey im a internet gangster

no ill stop before some one tries to fight me lol

  • The 90s brought the best music ever... Faith No More, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, RHCP, Nirvana, Alice in Chains... I really miss these years. Music sucks nowadays, there are only few good bands like Tool, that still produce decent albums... That's cold turkey.

  • amen

  • the 80's brought us the best music ever. dont forget that, Schlomo

  • also the worst music ever

  • although i respect your opinion, i have to disagree. i would say that this decade, if not the 90's, brought the worst music ever.

  • well the punk and thrash are cool from the eighties, but if you are talking about hair and the 80s pop and some of the other weird stuff then it all sucks. how could you forget about sublime? or pantera? its the late nineties that sucked. and the decade sucked to, except for like system of a down.

  • I think you guys are being really naïve by making such sweeping generalizations. If anything, the 10s were probably the worst.

  • See that kills me.. Faith No More good band, liked them, but Pearl Jam, really?..Smashing Pumpkins again, really?? NIRVANA, JOKE *COUGH*... ALICE IN CHAINS..AGREED..PANTERA WOULD BE BETTER TO PROVE YOUR POINT ABOUT 90S BEING GOOD.

  • music didn't die, it just went into a coma and continues to this day, while the public hopes for its eventual return.

also, everybody goes on and on about how music is dead; why not attempt to revive it? making music isn't reserved for select, chosen few. try it, you might be good at it!

    B +

  • Music died in 1994.

  • "I'll be good...I promise"

Hah. I say this all the time.

  • i love henry, but hes a bit creepy in this one, eh?

  • 1994: mtv's last hurrah...after this era it simply imploded into self-parody and toilet humor as did the music world.

  • Music died in 1994

  • People who say music is dead or punk is dead just need to look beyond Fallout boy and Hannah Montana and find some good bands.

  • Bomb the Music Industry! for example :D

  • The music industry needs to ROT AND DIE.

  • Already has. Its run by robots that sing like babies and barry white simultaneously and also little machines that make "beats".

  • @lostfeelinggonegone Ha ha ha! Good one. I totally agree with you on today's MTV. As for me I didn't only abandon MTV but I also abandon 90% of today's entertainment media. And the other 10% I haven't abandon would be youtube, the food network, and physical fitness info. I guess (if that really counts). :)

  • @RussX5Z congratulations you are a healthy human being.

  • @TheRacistsMustDie Thanks! I must move forward in this scam world we live in esp. America.

  • @TheLegitMan93 Then START DOWNLOADING!!!

  • I know that but when it comes to mainstream.

  • The mainstream's largest export is a product, not original songwriting and talent. There are exceptions, as there are to everything, but still, why the hell look there?

  • Oh I know, I am not looking there anymore but I think taking life out of Mainstream art has had an effect on society..especially kids.

  • I shouldn't be replying to year old comments, but I just got back on youtube. Fuck the Mainstream. Mainstream artists produce a product and their objective is to sell it to as many people as they can. And what's sadder is that people are stupid enough to buy in to it. PEOPLE ARE FUCKING STUPID. Need proof? LARRY THE GOD DAMNED CABLE GUY NETS OVER 5 MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR EXCLUDING TICKET SALES. THAT'S RIGHT. THIS IS MY SUICIDE NOTE.

  • @dearyou1994 I sense your pain...it seems genuine...come now, i want to sell you a bottle of tylenol extra strength.

  • @dearyou1994 I shouldn't be replying to my own one year old comments, but reading them out of context I'm starting to feel sort of embarrassed. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with the mainstream. People aren't all stupid. And honestly, there are worse comedians out there than Larry the Cable Guy.

  • @dearyou1994 I shouldn't be responding to year old comments but whatever. Honestly if someone gave you the chance to release a hit single and make millions off of it you would be a fucking idiot not to take it. Honestly the music is dumb as shit but don't act like you wouldn't be down with making all that money from making a simple ass song.

  • @Rustyshackleford08 na music died in 1996 and thats a fact!

  • @joronamo888

96 did suck but s0 did 95 and 94, everything died in 94..why do you chose 96?

  • @Rustyshackleford08 Well its a well known fact that the golden era was 1991-1996. '91 because thats when Nevermind was released and the alternative boom started and '96 was the end because thats when all the bands broke up. By 97 lollapalooza had run out of steam. 94 was the peak and was the best year i'll give you that. You can even just tell through records, tv shows and movies that after 96 everything was different...wasnt vintage like the golden era.

  • Henry will not be good. Henry will be fuckin' amazing and great, as he always is.

  • Notice how, when he says I promise, it starts playing "liar", by none other than the man himself.

On another note, I'm surprise that all those songs were already out in 1994, I had a good toddlerdom. This makes me want to thank my dad for being awsome, more than usual.

  • That was awesome. I was thinking of posting the word "Liar!" but they beat me to it.

  • Sic 'em, Henry!

  • hahah

  • *i'll be good...i promise*

    lmao.

  • Yeah right Hank LOL.

  • indeed

  • god damn Rollins is the coolest mother fucker
