@icl4ntic i have live, but wats sidechaining, do you mean when you sidechain the kicks with the leads via a compressors ? i dont know man , i think its all done through hardware and not software in order to get that full kick sound !

@montyladd Yea, the compressor thing. Not having your leads overpower the volume of the kicks helps as well. Turning everything down except your kick and trimming the envelope of the kick to taste can start to make it sound big. I usually keep my kicks in a sampler for more editing options from a drum machine. Disclaimer: I am not an audio engineer or professional in any way shape form taste smell or manner. :p I may be writing completely useless stuff.
