  • "Those who are demoniac do not know what is to be done and what is not to be done. Neither cleanliness nor proper behavior nor truth is found in them."[Bhagavad Gita As It is 16: The Devine and Demoniac Natures, Text 7]

Well God decides, which kind of body you have to take birth in. If you are unlucky, you take birth in a demoniac family and are prone to sinful activities. But anybody can turn to Lord Krishna and change his life by his causeless mercy

  • I agree that recovery is powerful, but that does not necessarily mean that a person can pass that on to his child, since an act of will cannot become incorporated into the genetic structure. Skinny people can bodybuild into thick hulking ogres, but their skinny genes still pass on to their offspring. Parents can use the tools of recovery to model good behavior, mature choices, and a spiritual outlook for his children, though, and these are strong tools to fight the potential for addiction.

  • only users lose drugs

  • smoke rocks, then recover?

  • What a lovely video - a lovely message.

    Inspiring.

Many people I have met who are in recovery are the most delightful, insightful, strong, open, connected and amazing people I have come across.

Not intended to be an advert for addictions, but such people often have a depth of humanity & integrity that is absent in many.

  • @explorer2101 It takes a strong mind and heart to realise one has a problem

  • What ever happened to personal responsibility?

I take drugs all the time and blame nobody but myself for doing them. People need to face themselves and quit pointing the finger elsewhere.

  • @TheCface

They aren't pointing the finger elsewhere, when they are pointing to their brain they are actually pointing at themselves.

Why are you taking drugs all the time? That shows you have a weak will and all that "personal responsibility" taking won't help you overcome your addictions. Knowing how the brain and your own mind works will.

  • parents=children

  • His parents are still addicts, do you think this hinders his recovery? he just relapses or chooses another addiction - he really wants help, it is him that wants to stop, i also want him too, but know it is not my choice, he is ready and trying....

  • you have a beautiful way at looking at life, I am trying so hard to help my lover, he has been an addict for God only knows how long. I sincerely believe he was born an addict, i know his mom was smoking marijuana for sure, but I also believe she was using during the pregnancy. his past relationships ended, by choose me or the drugs... I know he is battling this, and i would never leave him, to struggle alone, so have searched endless hours and five years for answers, i hope this is the answer!

  • @Picaro1 obviously dude, i mean he just compared brains to rocks

  • don't be weak, hit the rock

  • 1st ders a hard rock den soft rock.

the soft rock was in the 90s and emo bitches sang about shit.

    Hard rock is more xcore.

  • All human choices are caused by having brains to make choices. The choices our brains will make can to a certain degree in certain situations be predicted by our family histories. Somebody who chooses to be a Catholic priest is more likely to have had Catholic parents than Buddhist parents.

  • Interesting outlook.

    I like it.

  • there is not one IOTA of proof of ANY gene that has been identified as causing ANYONE to be addicted. This fact won't stop millions of dollars spent on the chase......

  • @BeauJames59 I am fine with money being spent on research like that, they are not all specifically looking for addiction genes. Even the ones that are looking specifically for addiction genes discover other new genes as well.

  • @BeauJames59 So we shouldn't try to find evidence for things we can't already prove?

  • @BeauJames59 huh?

  • @therealmcnulty duh!

  • @BeauJames59 the logic you just described in your post would mean the scientific method is obsolete but you provided no alternative method of research. money is required for the most part to research ideas and theories regardless of whether or not someone deems them as acceptable ideas/theories.

  • @therealmcnulty you ha' destroy me wif your amaaaaazing insight....the scientific method is saf wif you guarding it! science rulz, thanks to you!

  • @BeauJames59 oh I get it.

  • I have never tried meth before, but from many information i read, it says everyone will get addicted on it.

  • it sounds nice... but there is absolutely no substance contained within

  • This sounds very profound and gives hope to those struggling with addiction.
