I too was there for the full three days. But where is the sound? Wish there was video of Iron Butterfly closing the show on Friday night.

Thank you so much! I was 18 then and closing in on 61 now. One of the great experiences of my life. This festival was the best - very well organized. There was so much diversity in the entertainment - something for everybody. I remember telling my friends about the crowd throwing toilet paper when Sir Douglas was performing, and the proof is right here. Doug Sahm had this look of pure joy on his face. Janis, Chicago, Iron Butterfly, Mothers, Jefferson Airplane, and Little Richard to close. Wow!

thanks for posting - i search periodically and am always surprised there's so little about this amazing festival - i was 14 and stoned out of my mind but do remember some bits...didn't make it to woodstock but atlantic city was one of the high points of my NJ stay ('68-'74)

I was there with my cousin. 19 at the time, I had a summer job with the Community Development Agency of NYC. Took Friday off to get to AC. I seem to remember Joni Mitchell walking off the stage cuz she was angry at the noisy crowd. I love the comments about this video and event. Thanks for posting.

I was there. 19 years old at the time. We decided the AC festival had a slightly better venue than Woodstock which was a few weeks later. It was awesome! My friend and I sat in the first tier center. The view couldn't have been better. Stoned out for 3 solid days & nights. Never forget it.

Thanks for having the foresight to preserve this memory of mine. I was 14 years old and begged my parents to go with my best buddy. We stayed with my aunt in Ocean City who insisted we pin our money to our underwear. Two weeks before Woodstock and a lot of the bands at A/C were plugging it. I'm really glad I made this one. Much less hassle and $15.00 for all three days. A standout in my lifetime. What fun.

I was there, went AWOL from Ft Dix for three days and was glad I did (got kissed by Janis) got to meet Grace Slick, Tracy Nelson, Frank Zappa, & Johnny Winter. Nice warm up before the Army sent me to Viet Nam.

I wish there was sound & better video quality, but I was 16 yr old & used my dad's kodak 3 turret 8mm brownie movie camera which was a windup model. One of the best festival concerts I ever went to & wanted to post it for people like you who were there but have little documentation.

WOW... YOU'VE REALLY CAPTURED A MONUMENTAL PIECE OF MUSICAL HISTORY HERE... THANKS FOR POSTING. ALTHOUGH I WENT TO WOODSTOCK A COUPLE WEEKS LATER... THIS WAS THE GREATEST FESTIVAL I EVER ATTENDED. I STILL HAVE MY TICKET STUB & PHOTOS I TOOK FROM THIS EVENT & ALSO THE MIND-BLOWING MEMORIES!
