Another thing I found pretty cool about Gundam is that its war dealt with 2 factions: The Earth Federation (Earth Goverment) vs the Principalty of Zeon (Supremacist Space Colonies), with the free non-aligned colonies caught in between. The whole Sci-Fi premise is pretty awesome and advanced for its time.

Lol I also liked Voltron and Lost in Space (re-runs) when I was a kid. I didn't understand Japan's fascination with Gundam until I played a pretty cool PS2 game called Federation vs Zeon. Then I watched the 3 movies that resume the series and became a fan. The amazing thing about Gundam is that it was the first Real Robot show where the robot was really a mecha, a piloted robot that could actually be used by anyone and that was used like a war vehicle.
