  • anyway to do this with a mac?

  • Does the universal root toolkit v7.1 work with the latest update on the asus transformer?

  • when I press install x32 Drivers i got this: NVidia Corporation (win usb) usb install failed (unsigned)

    what should I do?

  • Same question as diablo100650 -- tried to root and got the bootloader could not be loaded to pad error.

  • does this work for HTK75.US_epad-8.6.5.21?

  • A little bit tedius, req. a little reading. Managed to update the rom to Revolution without a Super Wide but performance decreased. Followed the directions in XDA forums and did a Super Wide and then Revolution update and got desired results. It's neat to have a modded machine, it's like punching the big corporate bastards in the eye, "You're not going to tell me how to use my machine." Needed root to use adblocker. No more bloatware on the install.

  • How do I get some help with this. Everytime I put mine into APX mode and click Backup and Root I get the message "bootlaoder cannot be loaded to pad". I look and the Nvidia driver is there until I click the button, then the driver goes away immediately.

  • @xdadevelopers can i do this on a b70 as long as it can enter apx mode?

  • my toolkit shows (The Requested Operation Requires Elevation) when i tried to install the driver for my windows 7 64 bits.. what should i do?? thx

  • @Rfontanasantana You need to give administrator permissions to the program

  • buddy u should tell people that we need .net framework v4.0....

    thx Rafael

  • does it work for other similar tablets like the thinkpad tablet (3.1 honeycomb), or is this only for the ASUS

  • Same here, got my B60 rooted despite me being an idiot and blindly installing the latest firmware. Thinking about installing a rom now, but can't quite decide wether or not I want to wipe everything first.

  • Thanks to this guide i could root my Transformer B60 with the .21 firmware. Razorclaw didn't work because Asus patched the exploit.

  • How do I know if this is valid for my current firmware (which is up to date) ? Great video btw!

  • more rubbish...er

  • The video is fine and thanks for that.. But, those comments? Really? It has nothing to improve? Oh my! That's really sad...

  • These instructions do not work if you serial number starts with B70. These instructions are only 2 weeks old so Sam should have known!!

  • @filmpje101 B70's are rootable now thanks to Razorclaw

  • I follow all the steps but I get this: Error! Could not load bootloader. These instructions suck. (For me at least)

  • Works like a charm! thanks!

  • PLz help i did every thing alright adb was also working and i also put the tablet in apx mode it says

bootloader could not be loaded to the pad

is your pad in apx mode?

    program cannot continue help

  • @good2333 did you ever root it ? cause im having the same problem with my tablet.

  • @luaghingman123 yes i have root but phones not tablet htc and SGS2 i try alot to root it but every time i failed

  • Okay, I only want to root my TF. Do I still need to back up? Is the rest of the steps mandatory?? Custom ROMs is something I'm still getting into amongst my phones, taking the chance of possibly soft and/or hard bricking such an amazing piece of equipment is just not something I'm not ready to do. Help? Any one who has done this please respond. The help will be greatly appreciated

  • @Ghost987654321 If you want to only root it, search for an apk called Razorclaw. It'll do the trick for you.

  • oi vei...always research and follow instructions FULLY before flashing

  • Someone just please answer! I really wanna know whats going on with my TF! :S

  • HEEELP!!!

I made almost everything wrong! :(

First I didnt downloaded the android revolution, then I didnt install the drivers from the toolkit but from my computers device manager. I pressed OK before i rebooted the device. Then I didnt copy anything to the micro SD. Now the ADB is not working and i dont know what to dooooooooooo!!!!!! HEEEEEEEEEEELP PLEEEEEEAAAAAAASEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • I watched this and I don't have a Transformer. I just like your videos

  • how would running a custom rom effect potentially getting an update to ice cream sandwich?

  • @pdgonzalez11 you can't get OTA updates with custom roms....you have to revert back to stock firmware to get an ICS update...but you can probably flash an ICS custom rom which will be easier

  • @dpaik360 can you please answer my question? this is driving me crazy! :S please!

  • good job sam, they only host actually worth watching, imo.

  • would have been nice to see the rom working :(

  • Can you do one for Xoom

  • Note: Doesn't work on B70+ devices

Could be lucky if you have one but they still haven't developed a root for a B70 device yet

  • So much easier than when the Rooting of the Transformer first came out. Sorta wish I just got my Tab so cut away all the pain. I even ended up bricking it, lucky me the next day the unbricking tools came out!

  • Hey sam, thank you, but i'm a noob, lol, what is rooting? what does it do, and what are the advantages of doing it? please dont link me to a xda forums, i just need a brief 2 sentence clever answer, thank you :)

  • @sanoonbs Rooting a tab or phone is the equivalent of giving yourself admin privileges in Windows, and allows you to run apps that need to access otherwise off limits parts of your device.

  • @sanoonbs yep as said it allows you admin priviledges to your system files device. Meaning third party developpers can proceed modding of the system files to their likings making the "out of the box" operating system to a customized one. Sam just rooted the device to install a customized ROM (a tweaked version of the original operating system). Other words he turned his device from an average device to an awesome device...

  • OH HI DRACO MALFOY

  • no new B70 worky worky. sad face

  • unfortunately it doesn't work on B80 :(

  • its a very good tutorial. i'm trying it now.

  • There should be more of these. Like for new and old devices. i.e. HD2, Desire HD2, BUZZ:Wildfire

  • THAT'S BETTER.

  • Thanks for fixing!

  • that hair... :D

  • First and RAWR!
