I had to uninstal the automap software a few times, restarting my laptop a few times then it maps to ableton no probs. sometimes it displays ableton offline, but restarting everything fixes it. Im not using it much like this guy here, using efx but like to mix some tunes coz i use decks also,

Havent really learnt it fully just flicked through the manuals and started mixing on the fly.

I'm still using the mouse to press play on tracks in ableton, can that be done from the zero sl instead?

If you did costom mapping did you get your thor working( besides pads). Also when i try to do lerning in reason it doesnt appear on the lsd screen :( need some maps for thor

ehmmm...i only work with custom settings on the novation. and yes...my thor works too.... but i am not shure understanding you question. if lsd = display on novation then... no i never use the display. i just remember wich knobs i mapped to funktion.

yeah, it didn't take me long to realize the LCDs are pretty useless when used with automap, it won't ever display any control that you custom map. Also, if you override a control in reason and switch to an instrument that doesn't use that knob, it won't work at all. Thor works if you download the latest patch from Novation.

I switched over to using Max/MSP pretty exclusively, in which I can hack the screens to display whatever I want at any time.

no I don't use automap. I prefer to patch my knobs and faders manually the way I like it.

All u have to do is to make your remote work with reason - then start your Track!

Remote Override by right-clicking and assigning your knobs and sliders to a parameter on a Reason device.

Attention! select "Learn from Remote" in the same window.

I've had the ReMOTE 25SL for about 2 months now, and I still don't understand how you have this set up to do everything you do, without even switching instruments in Reason. Oh thats not so spectacular. Its a 20Sek Timelineloop in Reason. The beatbreaks are programmed pattern in Redrum. The Faders on the novation are logged to the reason main mixer.

The only thing wich could be kinda work is to make the tune sounds PLUMP!!!! :-)
