@NightmareLoveForever Wow When i was a kid, we watched this show on local channel King 5 Sundays at 7:00 ~ with commercials and everything. Like, in the 70's. my sister and I could not wait! we'd have dinner, take a bath, get our jammies on. We had to go to bed right after cuz tomorrow was a school day...
one time i found a random blackbird and sang this to it with my guitar , it got freaked out and pooped on me..... guess it wasn't meant to fly to the light of the dark black night. :(
How can you not love these old tapes? When is the last time that you weren't ashamed or embarrassed at something the kids were watching? When was the last time parents and kids of ANY age could sit down together for an hour once a week and enjoy themselves? Even if all they showed were reruns of this on Sunday night as a 'filler time slot' I think it would be a hit.
Janice is the guitarist for Electric Mayhem, Floyd is the left-handed bassist. The Muppet Show was NEVER a kids' show; it was, from the beginning, a prime-time variety show for all ages, and was especially intended as an outlet for mature audiences and adults. It was disguised on the surface so adults could watch it with kids in the room. There was a LOT of censorship and alteration of song lyrics (one example) to make them "kid safe."
for everyone, and anyone, I'm not referring to this video in particular, but I've seen people saying OMFG this is a kids show LOL, yeah, w/e even if it were there's no reason to look into the music or anything regarding any type of message or badness for your children, if there was a message it would read "This is really good music, and we'd like to share it with you, so for those on 50 ways to leave your lover so on, this is just about good music, and hey it teaches your kids to appreciate it.
But once you think about it...there is no way you could be negative about this! This is pure awesome. The Muppets and the Beatles in one thing...the world is a better place.
Now all we needed was either Paul, George or Ringo to have guest starred on the Muppet Show in the 80s and it would've been Nirvana. Aw well, still great segment.
This Beatles song played at my Zio's funeral...(uncle)

You know, with the success of the movie you could probably convince Disney to rerun these shows including Muppets Tonight.

It's a good thing the replay button is digital and not a real button on my compter.
If it was I would have had to have it replaced several times from this video alone.

Floyd is the bass player, and left handed, like Paul McCartney!! <3 ahh I love this!
