Only instruction I've ever gotten is youtube lessons and a cheap harmonica beginners book that I never finished.

My friend plays for a Muddy Waters tribute band and i'll go jam out with him from time to time. p.s. nice job on your single note pucker still after 5 years of playing thats one of my only issues. good work, keep the blues alive!!

Have you tried using a tall drinking glass as a reverb?

just hold it in your hands like your going to take a drink but have your harp between the glass and your lips. depending on how you cup the top of the glass you can get about 40 notes out of the ten!

well with a mike you wouldn't et the lovely acoustic whaa whaa effects..

how are you getting the distortion etc effects in some of your vids? it dosent look like you are using a mic or anything. nice style, clean and simple really working those bends

Well, as it turns out, the lack of disposable cash forces me to be more resourceful than more priveleged individuals.

-Nandub/VirtualDub lets me separate both audio and video layers.

-Audacity lets me do noise removal(to clean up sound of traffic outside and apartment ventilation system), overdrive, and delay/echo.

-After repatching the audio and video layers together,

I re-encode and compress with DivX converter to upload.(This actually seems to alleviate a lot of the typical synch issues with traditionally encoded AVI posts)

If I had an amp and an effects pedal, I wouldn't have to do as much of that, but hey, what is a fella to do?
