Wow!! I remember this song came out when I was a teenager. It really shaped my political and social beliefs. Made me a kinder and more compassionate person, I'm sure. It still brings tears to my eyes when I hear it.
If this song didn't turn people against the war they have no heart!

Me, too; I last heard this song on KOIL, the Mighty 1290, Omaha, 1971, and I've searched for it ever since.
