We are high level!
@kahimanawarilaya Thank you for your kind words. Mahilig talaga ako sa mga Filipino folk songs o kanta na may magagandang mensahe, socially and politically. I wouldn't say Taylor Swift's songs are for idiots. Songs come in different categories. I love Country music. That's Taylor's genre. I love her songs. Also, she's a great gal. Saying "We are high level!" ay nagpapahiwatig na some of us have arrogance coupled with an underlying sense of inferiority. Ito ay batayan ng pagiging prejudice.
@Nhejzheen you speaks good! anyway thank you, I dont mean it! na exagged lang! actually I was teaching more of taylor swift to my guitar and piano, drum students,so sad even among the filipino students of mine,i only have two of them na naituro yung Joey ayala kung hindi pa naging project sa school!yung Karaniwang tao!Specially sa mga I.S schools though some are filipinos, walang alam na filipino song, they are really colonial in mentality!
: ) I'm glad you didn't mean it; that it was just an exaggeration. Siguro ang dahilan bakit mo naisulat 'yon is frustration. I understand how you feel. Nangangailangan talaga tayo ng mga teachers who are very passionate sa kanilang pagtuturo, inspiring at higit sa lahat, makabayan. Sa ganitong paraan medyo mabawas-bawasan ang ating pagka-mahilig sa foreign songs or obsessions for Western culture, especially American culture.
@kahimanawarilaya This is the continuation. I didn't have much space. :) My big question is: Paano ma-appreciate natin at tangkilikin ang sariling atin (Pilipinong musika) kung halos nalang lahat ng mga FM stations sa atin ay walang tinutogtog kon ‘di English or foreign songs? That really need to be changed. Alam mo, bilib talaga ako sa mga Mexicans, Indians, Arabs, Chinese at iba pang tao of other cultures and races ay mahal talaga nila ang kanilang identity. They appreciate their own music.
i enjoy watching your videos..im proud PINOY ako ..patuloy mo lang kabayan ..maligaya ako sa tuwing may maririnig akong pinoy at pinay na umaawit ng awitin ..isa sa mahusay si JOey Ayala paborito ko sya at marami pang iba!!
