awesome!!!that is real commitment!! this guy is my hero!!! Last week I saw a new movie, “Discover the Gift”, which talks about being true to yourself and do whatever you do best giving 100% all the time. this video remind me of it! I loved it! you should check it out!! facebook. com/discoverthegift
i have 50km in hour that is my best speed with mountain bike , i think if i have this bikes (the one in this video) i can make it more then 100km in hour , that is nice
@luddomatic i have an average road bike and my best is just under 80kph. 100 is possible on a good bike, you just need balls of steel and a wide open steep smooth road. oh and your weight helps and slipstreaming other riders.
100 mph is like 160 km/h. I don`t think anybody will drive this fast on a regular street with a road bike. Max speed in "tour de france" is like 75 mph, nothing more.
July: best month. Three weeks of coverage of the greatest sporting event ever. Then at the end of the month I get to practice being a pro-wanna-be during RAGBRAI.
Fabian is excellent on the descents. I remember watching this back in July and thinking, "damn, he's just like a MotoGP or World Superbike racer on a bicycle." Awesome form. It's like he's ready to drag some knee.
@AubreyHerbert I was the one who uploaded it with music. There was one by TheRobby too I think. Yes, you're right. The ASO police doesn't like Tour videos geting to a wider audience.
I have done 85km/h on an MTB once on a very steep road. Didn't like it too much, if I am honest.
So yeah, that Fabian, he can seriously ride.
Incredible.
I felt like the cars were making him more cautious though, like if they were not there he could have gone mental... Maybe just his riding style. Would certainly freak me out to have them around me like that.
A hill in Sweden, near Gothenburg. Not really a major hill but it's a quite long decent followed by a steep one so you can really get some speed in the last part.
HERE'S THE FULL 7 MINUTES OF THIS DESCENT: watch?NR=1&v=RxXqQqAc2pA
Minus the commentary but fuck it, still pretty amazing.

This is amazing. Cycling isnt as easy as it looks, trust me. It takes a great amount of energy, and you need to be familiar with the bike.

Apparently he got dropped because he had a puncture and wanted to change his wheel so it was also yellow to suit the bike. That's the story anyway.

The US coverage of the TdF is so polluted with commercials that this two and a half minutes was all we got.
Somebody who capped the race from Eurosport HD needs to up the whole 7 minute version!
