  • HERE'S THE FULL 7 MINUTES OF THIS DESCENT: watch?NR=1&v=RxXqQqAc2pA

Minus the commentary but fuck it, still pretty amazing.

  • beautiful video quality great vid!!!

  • motorcyclist can't keep up

  • indeed it's a diesel motorcycle LOL

  • 1:28

  • Monster cadence.

  • so f*cking amazing!!

  • That was actually an amazing performance. Dodging cars in a catchup and then unfazed in the peloton. What a rock star!

  • so fun :D

  • 1:53. Garmin rider has clif bar whose wrapper matches his kit, very pro.

  • so fast. and ridiculous cadence. amazing.

  • ha. wish i had an s-works. but for now im stuck with a '75 motobecane mirage

  • type in - Cancellara's Descent An Ordinary Cylist

  • you gotta love Fabian Cancellara

  • the 7 min version is just unbelivable. His handling skills are beyond human

  • He has some riding skills :o, it looks pretty easy in this video, but it's not, trust me!

  • Look at the power in that arse! Hes a monster!

  • the seven minute version of this is EPIC.

  • This is amazing. Cycling isnt as easy as it looks, trust me. It takes a great amount of energy, and you need to be familiar with the bike.

  • i have 50km in hour that is my best speed with mountain bike , i think if i have this bikes (the one in this video) i can make it more then 100km in hour , that is nice

  • @luddomatic i have an average road bike and my best is just under 80kph. 100 is possible on a good bike, you just need balls of steel and a wide open steep smooth road. oh and your weight helps and slipstreaming other riders.

  • @mattchow true :D

  • @mattchow BTW the best speed i think its 170 ?

  • @mattchow

100 mph is like 160 km/h. I don`t think anybody will drive this fast on a regular street with a road bike. Max speed in "tour de france" is like 75 mph, nothing more.

  • Makes me want July to come even faster!

  • Yeah.,winner of Paris-Roubaix 2010!! ;-)

  • Apparently he got dropped because he had a puncture and wanted to change his wheel so it was also yellow to suit the bike. That's the story anyway.

  • fake

  • Awesome video quaility!

  • "go up to your URL bar, put a Q between the words you and tube and then press enter or click go"

  • Como traza madre mia jaja

  • July: best month. Three weeks of coverage of the greatest sporting event ever. Then at the end of the month I get to practice being a pro-wanna-be during RAGBRAI.

  • nice bike d00d

  • This guy is incredible!

  • Great video, Cancellara is awesome!

  • nice video. thx for posting!

  • Fenomeno.....

  • 1:31 Right on! Knee is just inches away from that bumper. Sweeet cycling. Damn, I love this sport.

  • 1:31 look at his handling skills!!!

i consider myself a to be a decent at descents but this is just a whole other level!

  • Sean Yeates was even more dramatic, I'm sure I have an mpg file of him scraping past a team car

  • The US coverage of the TdF is so polluted with commercials that this two and a half minutes was all we got.

Somebody who capped the race from Eurosport HD needs to up the whole 7 minute version!

    ;D

  • Cant express my disdain for the RETARDED, DUMB YUPPIE commercials pimping low sugar urine beer, and Lance Pharmstrong.

  • @smokeyrubbers This one /watch?v=RxXqQqAc2pA

  • full 7 minutes...YouTube - Cancellara's great downhill on stage 7 TDF 2009

  • un día se la va a dar como siga bajando así.... por otra parte vaya tubulares!! seguro que conforme van evolucionando permiten tumbadas aún más salvajes

  • Fabian is excellent on the descents. I remember watching this back in July and thinking, "damn, he's just like a MotoGP or World Superbike racer on a bicycle." Awesome form. It's like he's ready to drag some knee.

  • There is a 7 minute full version of this.

It was taken due by youtube. Such bullshit.

Searched everywhere! If you downloaded it, re-upload it! arggggggghhhhhhh :(

  • yep, it was amazing. This video actually doesnt show the best bits of the descent....

  • Yes, pelase if anywone have it, please show us.

  • @AubreyHerbert "Cancellaras Descent « An Ordinary Cyclist" That seems to be it.

  • @AubreyHerbert I was the one who uploaded it with music. There was one by TheRobby too I think. Yes, you're right. The ASO police doesn't like Tour videos geting to a wider audience.

  • all my videos of this years coverage were taken off within 24 hours of them being posted

  • @cozybeehiveful

can you find any TheRobby videos online? his 2009 videos were amazing

  • Comment removed

  • @prettyshady He has his own website. His website is "therobby"

  • @cozybeehiveful I mean "therobbyy"

  • @cozybeehiveful

spent ages looking for therobby, then found therobbyy

    i'm happy, thank you!

  • Please post more HD clips like this :D

  • cracking quality vid. thanks

  • I have done 85km/h on an MTB once on a very steep road. Didn't like it too much, if I am honest.

So yeah, that Fabian, he can seriously ride.

    Incredible.

I felt like the cars were making him more cautious though, like if they were not there he could have gone mental... Maybe just his riding style. Would certainly freak me out to have them around me like that.

    Fantastic video, thanks!!!

  • Brilliant.. the man can descend and handle his bike.. fearless

  • where were you?

  • A hill in Sweden, near Gothenburg. Not really a major hill but it's a quite long decent followed by a steep one so you can really get some speed in the last part.

  • Hehe, I would probably shit myself if i ever tried that. I mean, that must be like >100 m/h?

I traveled in 95 on my bike once, thought i was going to die:)

  • Yep you start vibrating and you think - "fuck this" and touch the breaks. Yep, been there.

  • Totally! It's one of those moments when you start to think, 'I might actually die here'

  • i can do that
