  • @dudewtfpasswind use bloody adblock in firefox... *magick!!! no more ads

  • fav radiohead song in my book... dunno why just is

  • @dudewtfpasswind give it a fucking rest....how is Radiohead's music THAT amazing that you feel the need to compare it to the Mona Lisa?

  • @blackhorse099 What's so amazing about the Mona Lisa?

  • @ShiraIsAParasite well actually, who the fuck knows? same question with radiohead's music. it's been put on the same pedastal.

  • WE ARE THE DOLLARS AND CENTS

  • Phil kicks ass on this song

  • this song is so similar to talk talk - ascension day, yet it still feels original and amzing :D

  • @musicalmister123 true, Mark Hollis was a God

  • Genius

  • Quiet down (We are the dollars and cents and the pounds and pence) (And the mark and yen and yeah, we're going to) Why don't you quiet down? (Crack your little souls) (We're going to crack your little souls) Why don't you quiet down? (We are the dollars and cents and the pounds and pence) And the pounds and pence and yeah, we're going to) Why don't you quiet down? (Crack your little souls) (Crack your little souls)
  • Yep even Communists and Nihilists like radiohead!

  • I love the jazzier, comparably straightforward tracks from this time period: Dollars and Cents, In Limbo, the classical guitar on Knives Out... very good.

  • after i finally understood the concept of different dimensions and the universe as patterns interacting with infinite patterns i couldn't stop listening to this song.

  • This is such a great song to listen to in the evenings. Really brilliant stuff from radiohead.

  • I love the Stella short twith this song.. TRUTH

    Radioheads one of teh greats

  • When Eminem was playing continuously on Mtv, Radiohead were creating far superior music beyond my wildest imaginations during that period. I was only 12 at the time & I loved Limp Bizkit, haha. anyway, those were good days & I'm glad I got into Radiohead later on with the years. They're Genius.

  • @Rockshift999 Don't feel embarrassed. I think I had a Britney Spears phase in 1999. I should've been listening to Ok Computer.

  • @commatose1 same here

  • it may be one of the best song of the 2000s, it's just perfect

  • this song sounds like they just improvised its so genious

  • Be constructive!!!

  • all radiohead albums are underrated, even ok computer

  • At around 1:20 I got kind of mellow and around 1:23 I had a SUPER BONER!!

  • FUCKING AMAZING

  • this is so fucking deep ...........just fantastic

    ruley

  • torpedo juice

  • This is without doubt my favourite song on the album, followed by I Might Be Wrong and Pyramid Song.

  • Dollars and Cents - Great Currency As Slavery Song.

  • This sounds like the soundtrack to a very badass and gritty James Bond film set in Egypt.

  • @MrJdT65 yes

  • Wow! Hard to believe one person dislikes Radiohead...

  • my favorite of the album!

  • lyrics are off, but just fix it and i'll shut up :D

  • 1:12. aww. i'm tingling tingling tingling.

  • my favorite song from Radiohead

  • This song makes me feel old.

"We are the dollars and cents and the pounds and pence and the mark and the

    yen"

Get it? They didn't have Euro back then!

  • Great album, I don't know why people don't like it as much. I thought Kid A wasn't as great as this one.

  • The vocals at 2:30 are brilliant. they should have made that into the chorus, it's a shame they only used it once in the song. Although it makes you appreciate it all the more.

  • @maddhattertime radiohead are too good for chorus'.... at least on all their songs, i think this song is perfect the way it is

  • For some reason this song reminds me that movie "The Road". Sort of about desolation.

  • this song is like a rainy spring day

  • Why don't you quiet down?

  • I used to play the shit out of this back in the day. I'm not sure what stopped me, but fuck I'm going to make amends now!

  • ART ROCK AND POST ROCK FTW!

  • Radiohead is just too good. I've heard every song they've ever done and they just amaze me. I truly think they are the greatest band of all time.

Screw the beatles. Radiohead doesn't need any drugs to write incredibble stuff

  • @AwfulWaffle200 Weird to bash the Beatles in a song that references them. Be Constructive with YER BLUES

  • @ThomYorkesHead if yar a str8head and ply an insturment. then good luck cos ya aint gonna be any fucking good at songwriting.. experiment at lesat once in this fucking gloomy world

  • @AwfulWaffle200 Just for the record:

Radiohead made OK Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac (their best albuns in my opinion) almost entirely under the effect of hallucinogens. Just like The Beatles with Sgt. Pepper's, Revolver and Abbey Road.

  • @FriedChickenofDeath6 according to what? a tabloid newspaper? the most I've heard of any of the members of Radiohead doing was smoking some pot.... sure they may have messed around with hallucinogens too.... but "almost entirely under the effect" sounds a bit bullshit to me... thom yorke said himself, they'd end up sounding like Bryan Adams if they used drugs....

  • @lynstly According to themselves and... just listen to the album! It's clear.

  • @FriedChickenofDeath6 if you've watched some early thom yorke interviews you'd realize he doesn't need drugs to write these lyrics, the dude has issues and is aware how fucked the world is. I'm sure he's taken a sorts of drugs but real creative people don't need drugs when they realize life is fucked up enough.

  • @JesusEclipse I'm not saying he NEEDS drugs to be good. Just saying he takes drugs and this habit has a clear influence in his job. The man is fuckin good by himself, when trippin, he's just insane.

  • @FriedChickenofDeath6 actually thom doesn't do drugs. there's an interview i saw of jonny and he said their drug of choice is aspirin, and that they experimented with psychedelics early on in their career and were unimpressed with the results.

  • Comment removed

  • @FriedChickenofDeath6 That's an insult to their creativity.

  • im a hip hop junkie but i love this shit...and i always dug radiohead. i think i need to take a few hits of cid and see them live...sounds like a good idea.

  • i have no idea what he is saying in 85% of this song but i love it

  • Amnesiac is sort of seen as the 'Kid B', the second-rate sister album.

I actually think it's better than Kid A.

    Thumbs up

  • @bassmanUSSR Technically, Radiohead thought that Kid A was the second-rate album. Word is that they put all the songs they thought were better on Amnesiac and all the rest on Kid A (because they were recorded at exactly the same time). Personally, I think KA is better but they're both fantastic.

  • @bassmanUSSR I view them as basically the same in terms of quality. I do learn more towards Kid A.

  • @bassmanUSSR I agree. This is my favorite album when asked out of all Radiohead albums. Don't get me wrong each and every Radiohead album is awesome and has a special place, but this one speaks the language of my soul.

  • listenting to this song with headphones is the most amazing experience, it is just so layered. this track is SO underrated.

  • @wurzelchan 100% agree with you on all counts - and performed live it's even better.

  • @wurzelchan So true.

  • epicMode.

  • love this song so much. there's nothing else sounds like it, not even by radiohead. it's like the song is from a whole other planet. absolutely adore those strings between 3:00 and 3:30

  • I played this for my 50 year old dad in a car ride and around the 00:40 second mark, he screamed "This is GORGEOUS!"

  • @MIKEDURSTEWITZ Your dad is gorgeous

  • @yvettefoto Once you get passed the fat, baldness and the smell of dead rats and cigarettes

  • Quiiiiiiiet Downnnnnnnnn !

This band speaks to the soul

  • Amnesiac is a reflection of enlightenment & violence as its descending value!

Its when you find out that, well....fuck, we ARE the DOLLARS & CENTS, when the fuckers at wallstreet ONLY count MILLIONS & TRILLIONS!!! And guess what? we're gonna CRACK your little souls...CRACK!(like when porcelain brakes)

  • great song on a great album.we are the dollars $ cents.

  • Excellent.

  • this is seriously one onf my favorite songs on the 'amnesiac' album & the entire album is dope & spooky as fuck! love 'em!!

  • the drum break at 0:44 is just awesome. love this song, and Amnesiac is vastly underrated :)

  • I definitely agree. Amnesiac is probably my favorite Radiohead album.

  • OMG! love this!

''I want peace and honesty...i wanna wander the promissed land, and maybe wander he children's land and theeeere theeeere we can be freeeeeeeeeeee!!!''

  • THANK YOU! Amnesiac is the greatest! so underrated...

  • i agree Amnesiac is incredibly under-rated... i would say the majority of my top 10 favorite songs of theirs come from that album

  • i agree as well

  • Amnesiac - Best Radiohead album.

I grew up on it. Still as good today as it was then.

  • 2:05 to 2:25 on shrooms = most intense moment of my life

  • cant say this is my fav radiohead album, kid A and OK Computer are much better. But radiohead is still a fuckin fantastic band.

  • i agree

  • what about hail to the thief...huh?

  • This is my favourite Radiohead album. It's just... Wow.

    And, this bassline is awesome.

  • this cd its good but looks more like a KID-B

  • Ha nice pun

  • great song, very underrated CD.

  • yes...i still wonder why....only a few ppl seem 2 like amnesiac...hail to the thief is kinda underrated too, and it's one of my favorites

  • those two albums are in the shadow of Ok Computer, Kid A and the Bends. Hail to the Thief and Amnesiac are really good but did not progress radiohead like Ok Computer and Kid A did.

  • i don't care if they progressed radiohead like ok compurer or kid a did. they're still sick albums with their own distinct sound and atmosphere and they deserve every bit as much attention. progressed..not progressed...the bottom line is no other album by any other band sounds like hail to the thief or amnesiac. how is that not unique and original?

  • Very good, very underrated song. What a bass line!

  • @podfun30 agreed. man it's great 'cause it's so understated and it's hard to notice it but then when you do it's like "oh wow..."

  • I don't listen that much to radiohead, but i can just keep listening to this one over and over again.

    Thanks for uploading.

  • Such an underrated song, very overlooked. One of their best songs.

  • Yeah, that's my plan.

Uhm, I find it to be a good representation of Radiohead's more synthesized era, which was excellent. It's mellow and is for a certain mood that allows you to truly appreciate the album.

  • Word, I have just heard, Where Bluebirds Fly. good song. I am trying to find that song on, the most gigantic lying mouth of all time, where like, theres like green telephone poles that go by, and its like, in slow motion, the backround is all black except the poles and some white blurry wires, and u hear this amazing slow bleep like tune in the backround, but I have listened to ever soundtrack ever made by Thom and radiohead, and none have anything in any relevance to it... strange.

  • thanks for uploading, it's a great song

  • No problem. I'll get all the Radiohead songs I have on here sometime.

  • That would be great especially if you could do it as individual songs (as people have already uploaded the album in parts). Thanks again. Out of interest what are your thoughts on the album. I haven't listened to this album properly but I have heard every radiohead album apart from this one.
