@exquisitelabs rest assured, no tax money was spent on this car - it was all private donations. So when you're are arrested to fill up their privately owned prisons, maybe if they stop breaking the law, that won't happen.
@hugoortiz you may want to speak to your friend and get your facts straight, dipshit. I found a quote from your "friend" Karl from API Speed Shop on chargerforums talking about this car. 550HP to the crank, which equates to about 460-480 to the wheels. Know your role, and shut your hole, douche!
Wasted tax dollars. The country is going bankrupt, but there's still money for this piece of trash to patrol the streets. Maybe they should focus their efforts on creating new jobs instead of trying to meet budget cuts so that they can arrest more of our friends to fill up their privately owned prisons.
wow all you guys are dumb fucks!!! i personally saw this car being built at the shop a couple years go. I know exactly what this car has because the guy who built it is a friend of mine. I go into his shop pretty often to bull shit and buy parts. this is a 911 flywheel horspower car. 7??hp at the wheels. its mostly used for promotional purposes but it was built as a drug runner car. its a 426 stroker hemi with a custom supercharger you fucking idiots.
Oh, and just one further note. Of the chargers typically on patrol, running the 5.7 hemi, 368hp at the flywheel, about 330 to the wheels. With the 3.5, about 250hp
Sounds more like a waste of money to me. Do you have any idea how much it would take to get 900 hp out of a car? There are twin turbo corvettes that only break 850. and those are 150k cars. I did some further reasearch. It's a supercharged 6.4L hemi. Without seeing a dyno sheet, i'd estimate it at 500-550 hp. Any more and the car would never get any traction.
900 hp? Cut that in half and it's still too high. Sweet video, but even if the car is completley worked over, i'd say max 450 hp. Stock charger r/t is 368 hp
@bailey648 Eh I'm sure they don't use that exact Charger on patrol. A lot of departments will outfit one of their cruisers and use it for drag racing or something like this as a way to raise some money. I believe it's around 900 hp, but yeah the chargers that you see patrolling the streets are only probably 400 hp.
