@juanooooooooflame Age doesn't matter, the only thing it does, it the teeth movement (As older u are, ur teeth might get corrected in a longer period of time). Anyway, i know coz im 24 and i use dental bracers, and i see older people than me using them too, and also, in my gym, there is someone (like 34+~old professor) that has a dental bracer with expander =) About the cost...that varies on the country, in mine = Portugal, its more and less 1500e, and depends on the clinics (Mine made 500e)
@arthur13ism - every Orthodontist has a different process with the expander. Our office only allows the orthodontist to turn the key to help with expansion so that it is minimal to no pain. With rapid expansion, when parents turn the key for the child, there may be a bit more pain because the body does not want to expand as fast thus gives push-back. All in all, either way, you should not have too much pain that Tylenol or Advil can't handle.
