I was lucky enough to see this rare kinnie film of this 1950's tv dramatic performance of Messers:Gleason and Carney at The Museum of TV &Radio(now Known as The Payley Center For Media)in NYC years ago. It's one of their best performances.
Most of those Gleason albums are just Capitol Studio musicians with Gleason's name slapped on the cover. He had a contract with the label but had absolutely nothing to do with the recordings.
That "second movement" of "Tawny" was titled "The Boy". And, as previousy mentioned, A.J. Russell impressed Jackie with this script so much, he hired him for his writing staff he following fall.
The music cue used during the opening title (with Jackie's caricature) was taken from his concurrent Capitol album, "Tawny" {second movement}, which was presented as a special ballet on his show during that period....

That's my cousin, Bill Clifton from Toronto, Canada on the piano. He is remembered today as an important and early influence on the great Bill Evans.
