@Flamorgan We've never had any feedback regarding using a pipe made for the NT650GT on a NTV650. Sorry. And our sound output can be adjusted based on several tip inserts that we offer for our mufflers. The one in the video has a nice mellow sound that shouldn't offend the neighbors. Thanks for asking.
I've been interested in picking up a Hawk since the late 90s and find myself possibly getting closer to doing so soon. Now I'm not a mechanical guy... but I was under the impression that the stock Hawk GT had 58hp. Is that wrong?? Why did your dyno show only 38hp?? What am I missing?? Again please excuse the question if it may seem stupid but I'm curious and rather confused.
Otherwise the exhaust looks really great!! Great job!!
@thereal2brothers Sorry that was a typo on my part... Yes I did see your latest video showing 32 hp stock which is why I'm so confused. When I do a google search for Hawk specs most if not all info I find say it has 58hp @ 8500rpm. Why did your dyno come out with such a lower result??
@Boristhe3rd The 400 was never imported into the US so we're not sure about fitting our NT650GT system on the 400. You may want to check with the various user group forums. Thanks for asking.
Long live the Hawk!! I have had two of these over the years. Great bike with race rubber on the front. Cant wait to hear this thing with the new exhaust.
Sounds great. Can you keep the center stand? Yea, I'm a dork, but I like my center stand. If I wanted a light weight modern V-twin, I would have bought a SV650. The Hawk has a lot more personality, and in the end that is what counts! I am all over this if you can keep the price around $300 USD. I only bought my bike for $1500, I can't see paying a whole lot more than $300 for a pipe on a $1500 dollar bike. Glad your back........been a long time!
Sounds awesome I have one of the original exhausts you made for the hawk on mine
