Who's your source? The leader of that drum is my brother. BadDog's son was banging on an unattended drum while they were singing an honor song, it continued throughout the song, no whipman to intervene. Yeah maybe a bit of over reaction from the drum but this was strictly the fault of the father, he should have had the common sense to get his son out of the arena before it became a problem.

Not a fake, read the whole story. The poster that said the story was fake stated that because they were not listed on the powwow flyer. That happens all the time,often drums apply or are invited to sing after the fliers are already posted. I sang with that drum for 16 years and can verify that the story is absolutely true. People should pay attention to protocols when attending powwows. The arena and the songs are considered sacred.

There were video cameras there, but only video footage of the event was positive, and I'm sure action like that would have had the cameras and camera-phones out and working overtime!

But there is no such video or audio footage, and no pics either.

The "Drum" is comprised of a group of people, most of whom I have known for 20 years,so yes, the drum told me.... the incident was played up after the fact by the media because BadDog is a celebrity. The incident lasted a few seconds at a small powwow. The public is asked to turn off cell phones at powwows, the media if there at all, has there attention directed towards the dancers in the arena not what is going on around the sidelines.

This family deserves no respect. He and his son dishonored the Pow Wow on that day. Red Warrior was singing a son dedicated to the Code Talkers in their honor. His son starting beating the drum and after Duane himself said bad things about the Elders and threaten a southern drummer.
