my family recently restored a ser 1.5 etype 2+2 coupe from a lemon to a beautiful road going car. What really gets me bonkers, is people spending way too much money and never actually drive the car. It was MEANT to be driven and shown off. STOP LOCKING THEM AWAY TIGHT ARSES. Anyways we are now working on a chop top Mk V and we reckon William Lyons would be proud.
Well, I welcome fingerprints on MY XKE! And, not sad, per se, but every one of those poor fright pigs that *doesn't* get restored (ooo, LORD!!) means the surviving ones get more valuable: Go, tin worm!
The MOT centre down the road from me had a Jaguar E type bonnet sitting up side down in a hedge, i presume the rest of the E type is probably in that hedge as well. probably behind the rusted out Austin A30
Agh..Flashback 1984! One the first Green cars I ever turned a wrench on! Dirt cheap back then fella's! (Mint)! Well after I got done with it anyway..lol!
Thanks for the video too !!!

Well done. Some of those cars I'd love to find, if only for some spare parts.

Let's hope most of them come back to life. Who is playing the backing track? Great!

build a new frame or save the old 1 with engine paint or get it powder coated its expensive but worth it

The problem with early e-types were the bodies were not rust sealed so most people give up restoring them once they find the chassis is full of rust.
