Kristin Chenoweth will always be the original Galinda. Anyone who trys to be like her needs to stop and think. Wicked unfourtunately will never be the same without Kristin,.....at least she left behind a legacy to be carried on in GENERATIONS to come.
Whoever the girl playing Glinda here is good... but not Glinda. I watched Kristen Chenoweth and Suzie Mathers as Glinda and the Glinda in this video isnt good... Good at singing and acting but no good at being Glinda. Not to be rude nor judgmental but the Glinda here looks so stiff and her voice doesn't fit Glinda. Her voice needs to be more "bubbly and fruity" if she wants to play the part of Glinda good.
How come on every video pertaining to Glinda everyone's all "Kristin was the best!" "No one can beat Kristin!" Kristin this, Kristin that. If you want to comment about Kristin Chenoweth; then do do it on a Kristin Chenoweth song! Yes, she's the original, and yes, she was great! But each Glinda did their best, and EVERYONE who performed as her should have praise. Not just Kristin Chenoweth.
@blt499 So true,I LOVE Kristin but I saw Chandra Lee Schwartz and she was amazing it really isn't fair and it's kinda annoying when everyone just keeps saying the same thing.
I am not just saying this because Kristin Chenoweth is like my idol, but I'm serious. It's VERY hard to for me to like any Glinda that's not her. Natalie Daradich pulls it off well, and a few others, but this is my least favorite of all time. I've never liked her. She's not bubbly enough for it, and she doesn't even attempt to sound even slightly airheaded.
Quite honestly, they are all very talented otherwise they wouldn't be on Broadway. The reason their characters are so well done is because Kristin Chenoweth set the bar for that and the others have simply lived up to that and have made it their own. So, even though Kristin did an amazing job as the original Galinda/Glinda, doesn't mean the others are "okay". We all have our talents :)
