Great video, reality is so very sad. Out of 150 kennels filled weekly with adoptable dogs here, half are usually purebred dogs. Also would guess that half of all dogs there are under 2 years old. To me that is still a puppy. In my hour visits 20 pets are dropped off and maybe 1 is adopted. Not very good odds to make it out. Breeders need to volunteer and see it first hand to understand.

I adopted a cat that was at the pound for 6 months..... best decision I've ever made. We still haven't quite bonded but I'm sure he would of been put down if I hadn't of got him. Hes a sweetie.
So sad people breed with so many needing homes. I just rescued an abused dog,1 of 13 left behind in a hot summer yard. A foreclosure; owners walked away, never returned to even give them water. A neighbor is finding all of them homes. Thank God for people like her. Spending all of her own $ to get them all to the vet & transport them. She drove my Riley to PA from GA herself. He was hit too, as I can tell after being with him. He is coming along now, feeling more at home & safe. We adore him<3
That's aweful that someone would abandon a dog by tying it up along a bridge. Was this person thinking someone would come along and take the dog in as their new pet? Was hoping at the end that the dog was going out to meet it's new owner and have someone who would care for it for the rest of the dog's life.
U adopt a dog or any pet, u make a commitmet: "I will take care of you" when u adopt, adopt if u mean it. Don't do this to your pet-- and yes dogs hav feelings too, they can feel love, pain, and sadness and confusion.

In shelters the dogs are neutered healthy, there is no risk or paying..why the ppl suffer of having a ,breed,dog love is a dog love....
Think twice, when we choose our partner, we don't ask him who are his parents or grandparents, are they a specifical nation, or what are their healthy issues...
So why do we ask for that information when we choise a dog?

It's seriously horrible all of the animals being abused. People look at my dogs as if their evil beings. (their pit bulls) but I swear, their the sweetest most protective bunch you'll ever see. I've been a vegetarian since before I was even a teenager. Some people in this world are sick, cruel and evil. Others simply don't care. More must be done.
What we need are legal personal rights for animals. They are living beings and have to be protected from pain and torture.
So don't eat or exploit them (live veg. or vegan) and tell everybody around you, that all animals must be respected as personalities. Don't support breeding. Open your eyes and your heart to help those who need it.
Dont just cry about this video- adopt! And tell everybody how importend it is, to adopt! And DONT buy animals in stores, because tey are mostly from puppymills!

Every one of these types of videos do not help. They are the same type started by PETA and then retreaded over and over. People know already. What needs to change are positive videos that show how rewarding adoption/rescue can be. People need to stop breeding their pets.
Professional/ethcial breeders will take responsibilty for each puppy they produce from first breath until last.
Teach your children that they are responsible for puppies from first breath until last.
This is so heartbreaking I could not watch all of it. Hundreds of pets are dying as you watch this vid. I am an 11 year old who was dumped at a shelter one day. Fortunately I was found and brought home by a family who loves me. This is a very important message to send. We do have feelings and we do know what is happening to us and we know the death walk. How sad is that. Shame on the people who just don't care. Shame.

We rescued an 11 year old rottweiler who had been dumped in a local shelter. She was 3 days from being put down, because of her age and over crowding. She is the best ever and she will spend the rest of her days here loved, with us. thanks for a wonderful powerful video.
My little dog was found tied up alone on a roundabout, A friend rescued her and asked if I would help find her a good home, I went to see her and immediately fell in love with her and brought her home, That was 8 months ago she is now a much more confident dog and we lovr her to bits : )

I know this might confuse you, but I'm an advocate for both sides. Not irresponsible backyard breeding or puppy mills, but REPUTABLE AND RESPONSIBLE BREEDING WHERE THE BREEDER IS DOING IT BECAUSE THEY LOVE THEIR RESPECTIVE ANIMALS AND ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. no, you're the one that's confused. there is NO REASON to breed a dog as long as the shelters and fosters homes are full to overflowing. it's just plain stupid, heartless and irresponsible. i don't care if you 'think you're improving the breed' - you're not 'improving' anything by adding yet more dogs to this world. there is no such thing as 'responsible breeding' as long as overpopulation exists.

It's seriously horrible all of the animals being abused. People look at my dogs as if their evil beings. (their pit bulls) but I swear, their the sweetest most protective bunch you'll ever see. I've been a vegetarian since before I was even a teenager. Some people in this world are sick, cruel and evil. Others simply don't care. More must be done.

What we need are legal personal rights for animals. They are living beings and have to be protected from pain and torture.
So don't eat or exploit them (live veg. or vegan) and tell everybody around you, that all animals must be respected as personalities. Don't support breeding. Open your eyes and your heart to help those who need it.

Every one of these types of videos do not help. They are the same type started by PETA and then retreaded over and over. People know already. What needs to change are positive videos that show how rewarding adoption/rescue can be. People need to stop breeding their pets.
Professional/ethcial breeders will take responsibilty for each puppy they produce from first breath until last.
Teach your children that they are responsible for puppies from first breath until last.

This is so heartbreaking I could not watch all of it. Hundreds of pets are dying as you watch this vid. The people of America are no better than third world nations where the welfare of animals are concerned. We have no right to condemn other nations for how they treat animals until we clean up our own act. The vid is sickening to those of us who are responsible pet caregivers. I am an 11 year old who was dumped at a shelter one day. Fortunately I was found and brought home by a family who loves me. This is a very important message to send. We do have feelings and we do know what is happening to us and we know the death walk. How sad is that. Shame on the people who just don't care. Shame.

We rescued an 11 year old rottweiler who had been dumped in a local shelter. She was 3 days from being put down, because of her age and over crowding. She is the best ever and she will spend the rest of her days here loved, with us. thanks for a wonderful powerful video.

An excellent video, and a great song. It demonstrates why you should NEVER buy an animal from a pet store or breeder (whether in person on online). All wonderful dogs, cats, etc. you could possibly want are waiting for you in shelters and with rescue organizationa.
