  • Dear jacksonke1t, thank you! Dear Logitech, fuck you very much!

  • thank you so much!

    this help me a lot

  • Thank you, it works great!

    Ruben (the Netherlands).

  • That's great most of the people here got it to work with Windows 7. However, my problem is that I cannot find the Obrit MP in device manager because when I try to plug the camera's USB into computer, the camera twist once then immediately turn computer to blue screen. Can anyone please help me?!!!!!

  • it didnt work exactly how you said, i had to click x64, then click install. and then it worked for me, you stillget +like for me for the tip

  • Thank you so much :D

  • I got one of these super cheap. The only problem now is getting the logitech software to work. I have no controls on moving the cam.

  • heres a logitech link to the file

    logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3428/related/1

  • Thank you for the video! All I can say to Logitech is BAD FORM!!!

  • It worked, thanks a lot.

  • Worked for me... Here is the link I used for the file

    en.kioskea.net/download/download-1554-driver-logitech-quickcam-pro-4000

    Thanks a bunch! F - Logitech!

  • Dude! You are the man!!!!! Thank you, may your your kind gesture be returned to you a thousand fold!

  • I used this method and it worked for me.

I followed it exactly except. Instead of the Pro 364 folder I used Pro64 folder and it worked.

Here is the link to get the other files ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/quickcam

  • EVERY SINGLE place one could possibly download this file has disappeared off the web! either windows or logitech is up to something....if anyone knows where i can download this file let me know!

  • Great! I find this AFTER buying a new webcam (not Logitech :P btw). I installed my orbit on a second PC (windows 7 32-bit) with your instructions and it works :) ..... if you want the new version of quickcam, download lws210_full.exe from logitech. Even though it says it is incompatible with my orbit, it still works if you hit the "ignore anyway" during installation.

  • Also, this link works: en.kioskea.net/download/download-1554-driver-logitech-quickcam-pro-4000

  • Wow I've spent countless hours tweaking and reinstalling different drivers trying to get this cam to work. These instructions worked flawlessly! Logitech is clearly trying to force users to buy a new webcam, even though this orbit is not that old and quite awesome/unique!

  • Link to the file qc1051enu_x64.exe

    ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/quickcam/qc1051enu_x64.exe

  • Wow, thanks! Bitched at Logitech support for hours trying to get them to explain why they suddenly stop supporting their (rather expensive) products and then you go and show that there's nothing stopping them actually supporting this cam on Win7. Clearly their just out to get more sales, cheap and dirty!

  • Thank you. Over the years I've spent a small fortune on Logitech products, and I obviously think they're great. When I found out the orbit cam wouldn't install on Win7 64 I was furious. The cam has been functional all the years since I've bought it because it is good quality, but the lack of official driver support is absolutely ridiculous!

  • I get an error saying that I'm trying to install it on an incompatible operating system. and when I go to "Devices and Printers" and right click it to try to update it. It doesn't work because the camera wasn't installed correctly in the first place. How did you install it in the first place?

  • it really worked!! thanks a lot!!!!

  • it work for logitech Webcam pro 4000 too ... the driver are in pro64 directory instead of pro364. thats it/

  • i looked everywhere on every links i could find but they are all not working , i need the 64bit version , anyone has a working link plz ?!?!?

    I HATE LOGITECH

  • you my friend are a fucking genius!!!! ty soo much :)

  • Does anyone have an issue with starting a video then stopping but the video doesnt stop at all. I was able to take video before but something happened that I cannot identify and now even after multiple installs when I go to record a video the video starts but when i hit the stop button it the counter doesnt stop but instead keeps progressing. If I try and stop the video it starts all over again and nothing can be saved...

  • Thank you so much! I thought I was out of luck after reading Logitech's reply. I followed your instructions, and it's perfect! I really appreciate your hard work!

  • Windows 7 x64 now has the driver online so no need to install the driver manually anymore.

Just install the Quickcam software (move to 1:20 in the video :-) ).

  • This looks great, but I don't get how you extracted from the exe. My Winrar doesn't seem to do this. Am I missng something?

  • @TheProfessor1ef2es try renaming the exe to .rar then,, it should work.

  • @jacksonke1t That worked! Thank you so much! Saved me a massive headache.

  • @TheProfessor1ef2es I'll give that a go =) thanks!

  • Fantastic work!

  • Fantastic work!

  • Worked great, thanks!

Side note: after the install, the camera view showed just a black screen until I went into the options and selected "automatic image adjustment" The black screen then faded into a perfect image!

  • Your solution is awesome, and I got the Orbit MP working with Windows 7 x32. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!

  • Thanks for the great instructional video. I'm wondering how you figured out that the installer needed to be manually decompressed...

BTW, I also use the old Orbit cam to post guitar / metal videos on YouTube! Also a Marty Friedman fan!

  • @HellIVIonkey i figure that out by testing all possibility lol , me too i want my cam to work so :P

  • yo...thanks a million!!

  • Thanks mate! This saves me a whole bunch of money. The 32 bit version works just fine though the for driver location I chose the qc1051enu\drivers\x32 folder

  • @moseslo Nice, happy to help all of you guys ;) and Fuck Logitech. :p

  • Awesome, thanks man. Worked great for me although I needed to uninstall and reinstall the webcam with Windows update drivers, then just install the software.

  • you're goooooooooooooood!!!!! thx!

  • Worked for me, after using windows 7 troubleshooter to fix the driver issue, now can pan tilt and zoom, thanks!!

  • Thanks for the tip! One comment: it's not necessary to use Winrar specifically to extract the files - using the free 7-zip you can do the same.

  • This totally worked for me too, and I also had a heap of trouble finding the .exe drivers but had to wittle away on the site to get to them..thanks for the video!

  • Thank you soo much, you utter genius!!

    Great video, great easy tutorial.

Thank you for saving me some cash,

    Brian :)

    Likey!!

  • I don't Get it. The video says to download a .exe, I did and it is an installer for Logitech. I cannot see how to extract the files as demonstrated. The video show the file being in need of extracting, but the file I downloaded was a .exe, not a .zip.

  • @HalRoenick ok look, in the video u see ,, Its An EXE FILE TOO. and in the description i say : Use Winrar for Extraction.... what more can i say...at exactly 6 to 9 sec u SEE how i Extract it....... man,, seriously :P i hope you are kidding.

  • @HalRoenick if u Have Winrar installed, RIGHT CLICK on the Logitech .EXE driver installer file... then do as i do, go to Extract File to .... and thats it.

  • This driver still may not work and you'll get an ! in devices and printers next to the image. If so, do a Windows update and MS have an updated driver that does work.

  • The Update Driver button is greyed out for me. The only available button is Driver Details. Any ideas?

  • f1shbone - best bet is to right click "Computer" and chose manage then go to device manager and then the options will be enabled.

  • I'm trying right now multiple versions, but there are only 3: 10.5, 11.0 & 11.1. 11.5 won't run because of compatibility issues (at least my Win 7 won't allow it to run). I'm gonna experiment a little and post back if I have any success. In any way, THANKS a LOT for this post, this is the first time I've managed to make my Orbit work in Win 7 (panning & etc, the coolest things work fine!)

  • there a New Name for Driver, its not like 11.5

its LWA_sx???? something like that,, this one WORKS. but like i said, something else wont work correctly. try this u will see.

  • lws110_x64.exe

those one ,, it work for videoeffet if i remmeber corretly (this is for Orbit AF driver) but i tried it, try it u will see.

  • Is there any way to enable the video effects with this hack? Because when I try to use them, i get the following message: "An error occurred in the software. Restart and try again. If the problem persists, try rebooting."

  • dont work for me,, but i think i made it work

but something else didnt work then., cam wuality or something dont rememebr just rememebr what i did ->

    1- do all those step

2- download higher Driver version, Unpack and iunstall juste newest SOFTWARAE.

but theres a couple of drivers version so u can try them all i dont remmeebr which one i used to make it work, but like i said, something else wasnt working properly so i return to those driver, cause i dont care about video effect.

  • Quick question: do the video effects work for you? Because, when I try to activate them, I get a message saying "an error ocurred in the software. Restart and try again. If the problem persists, try rebooting"

  • I cant get the pan and zoom to work, the cam works but the pan and zoom controls are not highlighted what setting do have wrong? can you help me please

  • you Must Use the SAME driver as i used in video, not higher version.. use qc1051enu_x64.exe

or the 32bit version... must be 1051/..

and you must install driver first

then u install the logitech software exactly from where i go in the video.

    reboot and it should work.

  • yeh im not a total noob I have the same exe and i followed your guide step by step. so your pan and zoom works? i well reinstall it again. i feel like going to logitec hq and just kicking ppl in the nuts for this

  • @jacksonke1t Cant find the one for the 32bit version .... HELPPP :P

  • @jacksonke1t do you know the name for the 32 bit version ? cant find it , HELP

  • @copped666 yes, the name of 32 bit will be same name,, exept u remove the _X64 at the end., so,,, qc1051enu.exe

type this in google and try a couple of website./

  • @jacksonke1t

everywhere i go the link seem broken

  • thanks man fuck logitech for not supporting a cam thats not even old they are always like this PAY MORE FOR LESS should be their motto

  • you guide is great...

unfortunatly is impossible to get the driver.. (at list for me :-(

  • @chongox if u mean you cannot find the driver on internet, its because u didnt search, just open google and type qc1051enu_x64.exe,,, then press enter :P for extracting.. use winrar. thats it man.
